Rejected as well. This week has been the most activity I've seen all cycle from the places I applied to.

Also just rejected. Also At the gym where I got my acceptance to RFU lol. Sad, I liked this school 🙁

Rejected just now, basically loving it 🙁

Sorry to hear about the rejections 🙁 , would you all mind sharing your completion dates please?

LM of 69-70 and loads of community service and clinical exposure. Some fairly unique ECs. I'm surprised that so many schools are culling their lists right around the time acceptances are going out.

EDIT: complete end of july-ish, got put on hold sometime in august.

Sorry to hear about all of the rejections.
Hang in there and good luck to all of you this cycle.
:xf:

Rejected. Completed early August, on hold late Aug. LizzyM 64-68 (high MCAT, low ugrad GPA)

Sept 1 complete then Hold Early Oct and Just Rejected today. Funny Makes me wonder if they ever were planning or ever looked at the apps to begin with

Rejected after being put on hold 7/21

Hang in there. Still early.
I understand what you're trying to do, but it's not early anymore, saying otherwise is ignorant and giving false hope. The majority of IIs come out during this period of time between beginning of October and Thanksgiving. Some schools have interviews filled through the second to last month they do interviews. It is not too late, but it is definitely not early.

wooooof.

I've checked my email at least 10 times today looking for a rejection, but it hasn't come yet. I've been complete since July and on hold for a while (I can't remember when it happened)...do you think now would be a good time for an update? I've been "promoted" at one of my volunteer ECs and am now in charge of ~200 other volunteers, I've also received a national award for my current profession (I'm a non-trad)...do these sound like something that would warrant an update? Or should that be saved for grade updates and publications?

+1 to being on hold since forever. I think your experiences and award definitely warrants an update.

Wow, ok, so definitely not bitter, just being realistic here. We are more than midway through October, telling people that we are still early in the cycle is not helpful, you're either lying or you really don't understand the cycle. I'm not bitter, I'm not salty, the cycle has actually been kind to me and I don't have anything to be bitter or salty about. I'm just trying to offer some realism in the face of what I find to be poor and misguided advice. Again, it's not too late, but it is definitely not early, we are almost into November. You can call me angry or bitter all you want, but that is not going to change the facts of where we are in the cycle.

Wasn't commenting on your cycle because frankly, that doesn't matter to me. In my opinion, the wording was off putting and terse for an otherwise friendly thread.

Interviewed here 10/18 after being on hold for maybe two weeks in September, really hoping for some love from this school, its my top choice : )

For those who received rejections, did you notice if your hold status changed to anything implying that your application was being re-reviewed before the rejection?

Did anyone get invited to their webinar? The sender was medadmit, and for a moment, I was freaking out because I thought it was a rejection email. If they sent this out to everyone including those that got axed last week, that would be brutal and RUDE!

Rochester and UMich have done something similar this cycle. Not cool.

Does anyone know if this is important to partake in? Like does it affect our application at all, or is it literally just to ask basic questions?
