Nothing quite like the first day of senior year... until you walk out of your first class and find that rejection email waiting for you. Georgetown was in my Top 5 so this one definitely hurts a bit 🙁.

I was complete 7/19. Best of luck to everyone who survived today. I hope that many of you survive until the end and get those II's!

The day is pretty relaxed. There are a few presentations from the dean and committee members, then a tour, then lunch, and then your interview. The one downside is that you don't know who your interviewer is until you walk into their office, and you don't know if it is a basic science faculty member, a physician, or a student, which changes the interview dynamics a bit. However, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, so just relax and try to go with the flow. And enjoy the lunch!

It was low stress, just one single interview , mine was with a physician adcom. It was pretty conversational, mainly questions about me and what I have done.

What completion date has fallen victim of George's mighty axe today? Alas, the end is near for my application. I can feel it in my bones. Tomorrow will be the day I join my comrades in the SDN--med-school-reject afterlife. The footsteps have gotten louder, and George has majestically emerged from the depths of the forest to collect his tribute; this time, I have none to offer him, for I am broke from secondaries. George has begun his attack on my vulnerable domicile, and I only wish to the see another weekend.

I think so, or at least it seems so. They've been pretty linear from what we've seen on this end.

You guys just think I'm a good writer because we're all science nerds :shy:
 
Are there any current students who can speak to what you like about the school and what you don't . Would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks in advance !
 
Don't you guys think its incredibly unfair to have some students interviewed by someone who is almost a peer and might even be younger than you, and for others to have a full on physician who has spent years practicing? Pretty ****ing weird. Also, $130 fee, easily the highest I have paid. They know they get sooooo many apps and they are taking full advantage of it. Sure, business is business, but whatever. Anyway, I just submitted this as my last secondary today. Had it sitting around for a week since the others because I had such a "**** this" mentality about writing a full page. Then I researched into the school, and it honestly looks like a great place, so fingers crossed.... To those who have gotten rejections, Im sorry to hear that. But hey, it could be worse, you could have submitted your secondary today 🙂
