I have a 2013 MacBook Air that works perfectly fine. Will this be good for M1 & M2 or should I upgrade?

I talked to finaid today and they said that they give us loans for the computer so I would say why not. I mean what's $600 in the end when you owe 250 grand.

$600? I'd probably upgrade to a MacBook Pro if I had to get a new computer...

Does anyone know if the Financial Aid Office at MCW would accept these paper documents by email? Or does the school only accept this information via mail?
  • Financial Aid Application
  • Parental Assistance Worksheet
- BH

I turned them in all via email. I just typed everything in a PDF format and they accepted it

Do they really have class from 8-4 every day that seems to not leave much room for studying the actual material

Maybe some news for us on the waitlist this week? Seems like that would make sense when looking through past threads.

For the first semester, it was anatomy lecture + lab from 1p-5p M/W, then MTC/physio 8a-12p T/Th/F, with FCM 1p-5p on Tuesdays. 4 half days off per week.

I think fcm is foundation of clinical med and mtc is molecules to cells but I could be very wrong

Yeah, sorry. MTC = Molecules to Cells, FCM = Foundations of Clinical Medicine. And it's 4 half-days off per school week, not 4.5 days off. So you get Monday and Wednesday mornings off and Thursday and Friday afternoons off. Then weekends off too, of course. Hopefully this makes a little more sense lol.

I understood that part haha, I was confused with the scheduling but I get it now

Does anyone know if the Dean's Scholarship includes financial aid or if the financial aid package will come later?

Is that merit or needs based? I assume merit if there are any.

Has anyone received a response from Financial Aid office? I've been complete since early March and have access to the portal, but haven't received anything more. I thought they would be sending decisions beginning April...

I've had my forms in for quite some time and have not received any response from financial aid.

How do I take care of the "remaining need" section of financial aid?

Do I just call MCW fin aid and ask for more money?

Wait.... just saw the "If you add the loan amounts listed in the messages, it should equal your remaining need."
