I assume that you got your call on a Wednesday after the meeting tho. On Thursdays, they usually start calling in the morning. I'm starting to think that the meeting didn't even happen yesterday possibly due to issues around Dean G leaving.

You are right about me getting my call on a Wednesday. I'm not sure what happened this time, like a current student there said it could really be any reason. But either way, good luck 🙂 I hope you guys hear back soon and get positive news!
 
I noticed that some people on the thread have already gotten acceptances who interviewed the same day as myself. I interviewed on 1/26 and have yet to hear back (no call or email). Does that mean that I am most likely going on the wait list or they simply haven't got the chance to look at everyone on 1/26?

At my interview Dr. Grabowski said there was 4 options.

Acceptance > silence > waitlist > rejection

They may have either not gotten to you or are giving you silence - which is actually the 2nd best thing.

Their twitter posts after today's calls said that they still had apps to review from the 1/26 date, and that those would be reviewed at the next meeting in 2 weeks!

I haven't heard anything yet about scholarships/financial aid and was accepted a few weeks ago. Some people earlier on this post said they received it upon admission.
My guess is now that we are getting later in the cycle they will wait a little to see how much money they have and see how many people start withdrawing their acceptance offers.
 
There was a post on their twitter that I think said that they are done handing scholarships out til April, when they have a better feel for how things are shaping up.

I just looked the tweet up and it says they meet monthly and scholarships will go out after those meetings. So some will go out before April, but there will be more awarded in April as movement begins.

Yeah makes sense. When I received my acceptance call, they said something similar...was just wondering if there was any movement/new scholarship recipients recently since they are one of the few schools I know that actually hand out substantial scholarships.

What would you say is the normal time it takes for an average successful OUWB applicant to get an acceptance? Just trying to figure out if not hearing back after almost 1.5 months means that I got waitlisted, especially that there are only 3 adcom meetings left before 4/1.

From what I understand about the process, silence til after their last interview date puts you on a preferred waitlist (tier 1 or 2). And tier 1 tends to empty out and tier 2 partially empties. That's what I remember from interview day. Good luck!

Last year they only took 40/100 from the 1st tier, and no one from 2nd tier. I don't remember hearing what you said about waitlists on my interview, but hey if you are correct then it's better for all of us 🙂

hmm, maybe I misheard. Maybe 40 was essentially the whole tier 1?

It's possible! Especially that almost all people who have acceptances elsewhere would withdraw their apps once they are told that they were put on a waitlist.

Ahhh, all of this talk about waitlists is making me nervous. I really like OUWB. It has been 1.5 months since I interviewed, but I am still hoping for a call after any of the upcoming 3 meetings 🙁

It's really variable. I got mine on the first day they reviewed my application but I have friends who heard back after months-I wouldn't necessarily take silence as a waitlist just yet

Months? They interviewed at OUWB as well?
 
I interviewed on Feb. 10 and they told us we'd hear back by the first or third week of March.
