9/7When did you interview?
anyone received their acceptance letters through the (painfully slow) snail mail?
I would like to clarify this too because I'm a nervous wreck not having that tab...Has anyone contacted Admissions regarding the meaning of the Additional Info tab? I feel like we have all been assuming it's an acceptance and while they probably won't give a definitive answer, maybe they can drop some sort of hint over the phone?

OMG!!! Congrats!!!! I really hope I get an extra tab too! I interviewed the week of 9/26I called them on Thursday and the lady said " you haven't changed your mailing address, have you?" And when I said I hadn't, she then said "good things will be coming to you in the mail soon, just be patient" and then finished with, "do I make myself clear?" So i definitely think its an acceptance, they just aren't allowed to divulge the info over the phone.

Were additional info tabs added 6-8 weeks post interview?
Thank you! This post interview wait is torture6.5 weeks here between interview and tab
At my recent email, they said it would be 8-10 weeks to hear back (and said it could be past the 10 week mark and not to freak out if it is). Seems like it's longer than those who had interviews in September.
First week of October!jealous! around when did you interview? yes, it does feel like an eternity. 🙁
"The Admissions Committee has completed a thorough review of your application and has placed it in the “Continue to Review” category."
🙁

Anyone know if silence is a good thing at Penn State?
Anyone know if silence is a good thing at Penn State?
I'm not on hold right now, just dead silence. For everyone still waiting pre-II, Penn State will continue to put people on hold until February regardless of your complete date. Being on hold isn't a death sentence, but interviews for people with pre-II hold usually don't come until February according to last year's thread. Two cycles ago, I was placed on hold in mid-Feb and got an II first week of March. They start re-reviewing later on in the cycle, so sit tight it's not over yet 😉!
Silence is kind of a double edge sword. Many people who were complete early don't hear back until December-February. It can be an II, pre-II hold, or an outright rejection. There are no specific correlations as to how and when these decisions are made. However, if you haven't heard back in 2+ months, just keep in mind that it can be ANY of those three results.
Last cycle, I was complete early August and didn't hear back until December. I avoided many hold waves only to see a rejection in my inbox. Currently on hold, but if it's any consolation, a hold means they read your file and there shouldn't be any huge red flags. GL everyone!
