Got my tab 10/27, acceptance letter 11/3

EDIT: Keep in mind I was in one of the earliest waves of tabs (at least the first one to post here on SDN), so things might be more backed up now and might take longer.

Cool man thank you, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this tab isn't a fluke and I have the packet coming in the mail soon!

I mean nothing is definite in this whole process, and I wouldn't celebrate until you're holding that envelope in your hands, but I feel pretty confident saying you can relax a little now. Based on the thread from last year and this one, additional info = acceptance.

Well I had only been checking it on weekdays and I last checked it Friday and saw the extra tab at 9ish this morning... i mean if the admissions office works on Sundays I suppose it could have appeared yesterday
 
Just got put on hold today, not sure if thats good or bad! Or how many people get put on hold
 
What has happened with previous people who were on hold?? Did you eventually get an II?
I can look back through the thread but so many pages...

Wore a bowtie to every interview and so far sitting on 3 acceptances. Bowties are great if you can pull them off. I have received compliments about it at every school, and at one it was a conversation starter when I met the dean of admissions.
 
What are these pre-II holds looking like? Did you get an email explaining that you had a status change?

edit: Also, am I correct in assuming that Penn State does the whole silent rejection until March thing? Because I'm pretty certain that's where I'm at lolololol +pissed+

I was being sarcastic! Because everyone on SDN says you have to wear the same thing to an interview and look like a clone of everyone else
 
Anybody who received the additional info tab last week receive an acceptance yet? I received mine last Thursday, hoping for some mail soon!

I got you. I just wanted to help dispel any notions because I see way too many interviewers who are in identical black suits and black ties. Just wanted to clarify that sometimes doing things to stand out in appearance can be good 🙂

Question about the photo that they ask for- did you all go to get a passport-like photo from a CVS/etc? I have a headshot but I'm not sure that it is passport-esque enough.

I no joke went into my bathroom for good lighting and just took a straight on picture of myself in some old t-shirt. They just want to have your face for reference.
