Did your email give you any indication that they were waiving the fee?
Nope, not at all!

II! IS, complete mid-July. Hoping things go better this time around.
?I'm depressed...
What's your section scores if you don't mind me asking?II last week, too. 3.84, 507, IS.
A little nervous that my MCAT score will be a little low since that was my problem last cycle. Though, this time all my section scores are balanced after my retake. Guess we'll see what happens!
Honestly, being on this site depresses me.
Honestly, being on this site depresses me.
Everyone with 3.7+ GPAs and 510+ MCAT scores...this that and the other. 🙁
Makes me feel really insecure about myself and doubt my chances of getting in. I certainly do not have those academic stats.
I'm hoping and praying I get an interview here (CCOM) and Boston and some of the other schools I'm aiming for - I think I have a solid personal statement and work experiences...but in the academic arena, I have, admittedly, struggled a bit in some classes that have caused me to retake 3 (initially got C's in them)
But yeah, I think this site + my academic stats + my rejection from Wake Forest + my future rejection from Vanderbilt (still waiting for the rejection letter because they screen hard) has definitely contributed to my not so enthusiastic mood.
If you don't mind me asking, are you IS or OOS?Honestly, being on this site depresses me.

Thanks, I'll try. :/Stay positive. Remember the demographic of this site is not at all representative of the application pool, and is very, very top heavy

OOSIf you don't mind me asking, are you IS or OOS?
Last I heard, it was about 3.43 weeks but can take up to 6 weeks.Anxiously awaiting to receive the secondary! Anyone have an idea how long it takes after verification?
Congrats!Secondary completed today (8/24), IS.
LizzyM?II received on 8/26! I'm IS and got an interview last year as well. Now I am in an SMP to make up for my low undergrad GPA. I got the II email on the same day I got the application complete email which was a shock!!! Last year my application was complete for around 3 months before I got an II so I'm really excited about this cycle. This is my dream school... you can tell they care so much about the students! Good luck everyone, and I'll see some of you in early October. 🙂
I'm OOS with an II! I have Iowa connections though.Any OOS people with an II yet?
I'm OOS, and I was complete on August 15...haven't heard anything from them either 🙁Alumni here (2014), LizzyM 70, complete 7/18, lots of research, no II 🙁 Wish I felt the love too.

I was complete in July and didn't get the II until a month later! This is a crazy slow process, no use getting worked up now 🙂I'm OOS, and I was complete on August 15...haven't heard anything from them either 🙁
It seems like most IS applicants receive an interview, correct? If it's any consolation, I believe CCOM tends to frontload their interviews with IS applicants. I knew a number of OOS applicants who received interviews later in the cycle. Don't start worrying yet!
Yes. According to MSAR, 300/354 (84.7%) of IS applicants were offered an interview last year.It seems like most IS applicants receive an interview, correct?
Very nice odds for ISers. How many do you reckon they accept from the IS lump?Yes. According to MSAR, 300/354 (84.7%) of IS applicants were offered an interview last year.
135/300 for last year (45.0%). Although the interview to acceptance rate isn't superb, the fact that 135/354 in-state applicants are offered admission is pretty good. I wish Colorado was as friendly with their in-state applicants!Very nice odds for ISers. How many do you reckon they accept from the IS lump?
That has to make Iowa one of the better states. Is Colorado that bad?135/300 for last year (45.0%). Although the interview to acceptance rate isn't superb, the fact that 135/354 in-state applicants are offered admission is pretty good. I wish Colorado was as friendly with their in-state applicants!
Colorado is definitely one of the "unluckier" states. Although there are worse ones (particularly ones that don't even have a school or have huge numbers of applicants like California), we only have one M.D. school and only 17% of IS applicants were offered admission last year (about 40% interviewed). That has to make Iowa one of the better states. Bummer dude! That really stinks!Colorado is definitely one of the "unluckier" states. Congrats! IS?II today🙂 complete 08/01
