Can anyone comment on their PSTP? Preferably from someone in the program currently. I think it is a good idea in theory, but giving up all my future summers just for 3-4 months of bench work that won't go anywhere due to the time frame doesn't seem too appealing to me.

Additionally, do you think it would give my application an edge if I said I wanted to do it? (I do have an interest in applying to it)

Can't you only apply to that if you get an interview? So it shouldn't give you an edge if that's the case.
 
Can anyone post the prompts for the PTSP program? I am assuming there are essays, right?

Also does anyone know if acceptance to this program is in any way tied to acceptance to the regular MD program?

Lol retweet I feel but don't lose hope maybe they just have crazy good research or involvement it's too early to worry and I'm in the same boat

It's a long season! Interview invites are extended through February or later at a lot of places and it's not because new people are applying, it's because they like to take several looks at most applications. Just because you weren't in the very first round doesn't mean that you've been rejected. Chin up and focus on the positives, otherwise it's going to be a loooooooong year.

Agreed! But, keep in mind Pittsburgh stops interviews in December.
 
Logged into the Portal today and saw that I had a rejection notice, but they never sent me an email. LizzyM ~70, submitted 7/1. Oh well. best of luck to all of you!

Same here just checked might've been like that for 2 months oops. Oh well win some lose some too bad as this was one of my top choices. Complete 6/29, LizzyM 76.

I had checked at the beginning of the week and all it said was "Invited to Complete Secondary." Since I haven't seen anyone else on this thread with rejections, they must have just updated this sometime this week. Sorry it didn't work out, good luck everywhere else!

Rejected too. I would prefer the Cleveland clinic anyway 😛. Just shows the randomness of this process also.

Anyone know why they stopped doing rolling admissions? Jan 31 is soooo far awaaay.
 
Sorry to hear about all the rejections guys 🙁 best of luck with your other schools. Do you mind me asking about when you were complete? Did anyone who was complete in August hear anything or are they still on July?
 
1st Rejection.... I can feel the pain LM: 69, shouldn't have applied to begin with, but hey you never know! sent via email, don't remember when i was complete
