Interviewed in 12/8... hope to hear back today.

Does Case send decision in one big batch or throughout the day?

Accepted this morning!!!! holy **** first one after 3 years of trying holy ****. interviewed December 6. Wooooooooo
And at Case Western no less! Congratulations, you’ve earned it!!

II! Anyone have tips for the interview? Also I'm interviewing in the beginning of feb - I know case is rolling so is there a realistic shot at an acceptance?
Congrats! Refer to my earlier post 12/13, as well as other posters' responses at that time, as to interview format and such
[Edited to make it more clear]

Does anyone know how to get the PIN number to get your Case Network ID after being accepted? :help:

I don't think they will send those out until later. It would probably be a HUGE hassle for them to create a bunch of accounts only for many of us to withdraw later.

A bigger hassle than interviewing us, accepting us, calculating our FinAid, and sending us 10 advertisements for post-bac programs throughout....? Maybe!🙂

Pre II R on portal, complete in mid July. A perfect Christmas present :vomit:

Rejected pre-II on Christmas Day. Complete early August, LM 75.

Just curious, how does the new medical center case is building affect current students? I believe it'll be ready starting with the 2019 applicants. Is the only difference that all classes will be moved to there?

Everyone will move over. It doesn’t really affect current students because the now M1s and M2s will be M3s and M4s, neither of which spend almost any time at the school.

Still waiting on my decision from mid-December interview! Hoping that this week will be the week

Debating whether or not I should interview here as I have already been accepted to a school and will pay IS tuition. Main reason is that it's going to cost a lot of $$$ to fly to Ohio for interview from HI. Anyone know if interviews in January are for the wait list or not? Any advice?

Edit: Does anyone know if CWRU SOM is generous with scholarship/grant money if accepted? I saw on their site that you have to be invited to apply for the 20 or 40 grand scholarships, but is that very limited to select few?

Accepted student here, not invited to apply for merit. From what I have put together it seems to be based on atleast partially if not fully on MCAT/GPA, though I’m not 100% sure. Most people who get it on here seem to have high stats. As far as actual proportion of folks invited, I have no idea.

Thanks! Do you happen to know the average stats of those invited to apply for scholarship?

On this thread you can scroll back and see lots of 520/3.8 range. Personally I was 517, 3.6 and not invited

I literally have a 520 and 3.8 and was invited to apply for scholarship just to add to that theory...(I don't think I had posted stats earlier...)

521/3.99 and NOT invited for scholarship. Just to make it sound even worse, eh? 😀
EDIT: I do not mean to say that I feel I deserve a scholarship, not at all! I am just saying that even high stats does not mean you will get one. So perhaps it has to do with other things? Anyhow, you get the point, don't rely on getting scholarship funds. Also, realize that even the largest scholarship still leaves you with plenty of expenses, only covers about half the total cost.
