Does anyone know when the last interview date for A&M is? I'm seeing all these people who completed in July just now getting interviews and I'm super hella nervous because I just submitted my secondary...

Last year the last interview date was on December 14th! Not sure if it will be different this year though!

Has anyone interview for EnMed in Houston? If so can you share your experiences and advice?

For those that already interviewed, were all the interviews conducted in the afternoon? Or was it the half in the morning, half in the evening split?

Thank you!

The interview are all in the afternoon! Interviews start at 2, and depending on how they schedule your particular interviews, you could be there past 5. I had a long drive ahead home at the end of the day, so they may have taken that into consideration because I was done by 4.

Received an II here 3:05 today via email. Interview is in September 27th.

A&M interview was the longest day out of all the Texas interviews. The interviews were scheduled as late as 4-4:30 for some people.

For those of you who interviewed on 8/30 or before, has the school been listed on your TMDSAS?

Wow that is extremely late. Definitely would be a mental endurance to have an interview that late. Hoping for an early one! I have to drive back to Dallas after and work the next day 😱😱😱

Has anyone with an average MCAT gotten an II here? I submitted mine on 7/4, it was the first secondary i submitted. I am thinking maybe its my mcat but MSAR data shows I am good. Recent IIs have been from people who submitted in August. Has anyone who submitted in july still waiting or heard back recently?

I submitted my secondary late July and haven't received an II yet. I got a 509 MCAT but my letters were barely turned in early August so idk if that has something to do with it.

I had everything turned in early, sumbitted early july, around the same MCAT as you. Wonder if they are interviewing 510+ MCATs first or whether people have gotten IIs with our scores

Hard to say honestly, could be we just don't fit their mission. Whatever the case, it isn't too late to get an II from here so I wouldn't lose hope.

I transmitted 6/27 68.6 LM and 510 MCAT. Not one II yet.

I was complete in August because thats when my committee letter came in but I turned in my secondary on 7/14 and haven't heard anything yet. Still trying to hold out hope!

2 time MCAT test taker, 508 second time, new score in 8/1, II 9/6. Don't lose hope friend

Congrats!! Good job!! when did you submit your secondary?

I think I had it sent in by 6/8. But again, I dont think anything was looked at since my TMDSAS app showed that I had a June 30th MCAT test date. So really, I dont believe anything mattered until 8/6, which is when TMDSAS received my new MCAT. Unless I'm wrong someone wants to correct me.

Basically, all my secondaries were in by mid June because I was told the earlier the better, but it seemed not to matter since my new MCAT score wasnt in yet. I felt like this could be confirmed because I had new score in 8/6 and TCOM sent II on 8/10

Havent heard from them either (510 MCAT) but I was complete about 2 weeks ago with the letters, also submitted their secondary last, around august 22nd.

How is your community service? When I interviewed here, and at other schools, some of the admissions board stated that regardless of a high MCAT score, if an applicant had close to no service hours then they would toss their app. It is my second time applying (my first cycle was 2016 cycle) and my MCAT score was a 499, I still had three interviews. In addition, my app wasn't complete until early August due to waiting for MCAT scores.

Bottom line: most schools look at three aspects of an applicant: GPA & MCAT, community service, and exposure to the healthcare field. That's why there are some med students who have below average MCAT scores, because they had an enormous amount of selfless service or involvement in the healthcare field already.

I wouldn’t say they look at those three aspects alone. Schools that focus on holistic approach will look at everything when considering applicants. But like you mentioned, a significant aspect of your application can persuade someone to look at you. I didn’t have stellar stats (I don’t think at least) but I was invited to more than 10 interviews. I did my research in finding schools, who’s mission I fit. I did extensive work down in the Texas-Mexico border, which I think lots of schools liked.

Thanks, yea you make a great point about fitting the mission of each school. I will stay patient.
I have well over 1000 hours in Community service, 750+ hours in research along with publications, and working in the healthcare field and GPA is above their 90th percentile band. Disadvantaged background with a track record of health care activties since HS

Has anyone done their interviews in Round Rock (with the morning portion in temple)? If so how was that?

II this afternoon too! Transmitted 6/25, complete 7/23. LM 68-69. Nontrad.

Is anyone else's checklist boxes gone? I was complete in early August and I have been checking the portal periodically. The whole checklist was there last week but it's gone now? It still stays under review. Anyone else's portal doing the same thing?
