There is a 1 on 1 faculty interview that was very conversational. They have your activities and essays but not your academic info (grades and MCAT). The faculty interviewer writes basically another letter of recommendation that is added to your application file. There is also a group activity with a couple of other applicants in which you work together to solve a problem. It was straight forward and medical students observe how you interact in the group setting. Good luck at your interview! It was a really great day! 🙂

hi i just received an R email from wisconsin, but the way they worded this confuses me:

I regret to inform you that your academic record does not meet our minimum requirements for consideration.

did they word it like this for all Rs or do i have something lacking in my application? i checked off on all of their prereqs. i'm also OOS.

+1 I checked their requirements page and MSAR and didn't see any issues with their requirements and my classes. I'm OOS too and have no idea what it could be.

Jk. They just sent another email saying that that previous email was sent in error and that the real email should have just said something along the lines of you are no longer in consideration. That works too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
R this evening. First of the cycle. UW was a slight reach academically and I'm OOS. Not upset!

Has anyone heard back sooner than 4 weeks after their interview? Trying to gauge when I might hear back

Heard back after only a week and a half, but I know some people that haven't heard back in over a month. No real way to accurately predict, just expect 4-6 weeks I'd say.
 
Waitlisted. Bummer because madison is my number 1 choice and I'm not gonna see much info from them until late April/May :/

Sorry to hear that BacoTaco! You already have some great aceptances! It is tough to wait, but if you are meant to be at Madison I am sure you will hear good news in the spring! 🙂
 
Is it just me or is the IS cycle moving slower than in previous years? I feel like I've always seen a good number of pre-II IS rejections at this stage, but there are only one or two in this thread.
 
I think we got our interview invites the same time! I was 10/12 though and am really hoping for the same great news. Congrats again!

I hope they are still making their way through the 10/12 interviewees though 🙂
 
Wait so are we reviewed in random order? i noticed some from the first interview day found out their status after 10/5 and 10/12 interview days found out. Is a longer duration of silence bad? interviewed 10/5

When I interviewed, they say that not everyone from your group gets looked over by adcoms at the same tine
