Well maybe they do work on your portal and shut it down for you lmfao. Now my hopes are up 😆 what day did you submit btw?

edit: anyways, just called and they were unaware of the issue. Things are still complete for me and they have my app just fine in case anyone else faces the same issue.

Did you get an email saying you were complete? Or did you just check the status of your portal. My portal says "application is ready" but there is no date associated.

I got an email fairly quickly after my application was complete! Similarly, I don't have a date next to "your application is ready".

So I was checking my documents status and for some reason my letters dates changed from the original AMCAS received dates to 8/15. Has anyone else noticed this?

negative but I checked and mine that was originally received in mid-June was changed to 8/20 when I added another letter that day so it was probs just a refresh of some sort

Oh I think I resubmitted my app for an address update, but don't know why that would affect my letters.

Portals run by Zap/Amp solutions are known to refresh or re-pull your data I think. My Tulane and Quinnipiac portals have different letter dates than the original submission. Its nothing to really worry about

And are they usually on Wednesday and Tuesdays by any chance? Sorry for questions it's just I TA for cell bio lab and I want to get my class so that it doesn't coincide with the hot dates for interviews (for all the schools I applied to)

It says interview says end at 2 pm. Thinking of booking a flight out at 4:45. Should be enough time , right? Airport is only 15 min away

I wouldn't do it if I were you. What if you end up staying a bit longer to talk to people after the interview? Try to fly back in the evening.

Interview day is relaxed.* Most interviewers just want to get to know you as a person. A couple are a little hard-nosed and will grill you, but keep your cool. If you have to choose between being yourself and being normal, choose normal.

*But still keep in mind that everyone is watching and if you do anything untoward, people will notice and remember you for the wrong reasons (it has happened).

Okay strange situation here, hoping to get some advice.

I checked my applicant portal just now because I was hoping I'd missed an II email and for some reason decided to read over my essays again. Instead, I was shocked to find the essays saved in the 'supplemental application' tab simply aren't mine. I literally have someone else's essays saved in my application. I have no idea how this is possible. I want both myself and the other applicant to have a fair shot, especially if our essays were flipped somehow. I emailed the admissions people, but got an automatic response that they are out of the office until Sept. 13th (of course 🙄). Do y'all think i should call the admissions office tomorrow? Thanks

Edit: I can confirm that the essays aren't mine and I'm not just going for a re-write because I'm a man and the essays were all written around the experience of being a woman in medicine. Like they're just blatantly not mine. Argh.

100% call tomorrow. This is a serious issue that you should not let idle- you dont want them to pass over you, think youre a fraud, and throw you out.

I'm also low-key pissed because I submitted this application well over a month and a half ago and felt like I was a very strong candidate for GCSOM. I wish I'd noticed this error sooner. Oh well.
