I never posted, but I got the call on Thursday that I was accepted off WL. I haven’t gotten an email or portal change yet and I’m not sure if they called everyone or not but I hope this provides some clarity. Hoping for you all that they send out more tomorrow!

I didn't get a call only email, but I wasn't on WL. I'm assuming the calls are just for people being taken off the WL.

I’m not sure, I was a bit shocked and didn’t know what was happening up until he told me. I thought he was calling because he had a question about my app lol. He said he would be sending an email in the next few days to make it official and I’m assuming that is Monday the 13th

Alright, kinda crummy question. My aunt's friend is a Creighton alum (not med school) and is very involved still/a big donor. He has offered to write me a recommendation letter basically speaking to Creighton's mission and values and why I would be a good fit. I just feel weird about it because I feel like I'm using connections and not my own merit. Thoughts? Is there a chance this could backfire and reflect poorly? (post interview, WL)

My personal opinion is do whatever it takes. Assuming you have the stats within the normal range I see no problem with it.
 
Is Creighton affiliated with UNMC at all? Do students do rounds there or do they just work at CHI?

I hate that it’s a thing too but I don’t have any acceptances yet and am trying to figure out anything to get me in.

Does anyone know if Creighton is still offering interviews? Haven't heard anything since secondary completed.

Same boat, complete late July haha. Think it's time to send out them update letters to all schools I haven't received a hard R from.

EDIT: They do interview till March, so there is still hope 🙂

I’d recommend sending an update for anyone still waiting for an II. Creighton LOVES updates and seems to be very receptive to them.
 
I know the interview is very relaxed, but was anyone asked about their faith or have any particularly difficult personal questions? Not sure if I should attend if I'm OOS and not jesuit.

no difficult personal questions, it was very conversational. I’m not catholic. It didn’t come up

You would be in the majority of students if you attended as a non Jesuit OOS person. There only like 40 Jesuits on campus most are catholic. It’s like a 10 year full time process to become a Jesuit. Most of us are from OOS. It’s a private school so IS OOS doesn’t make much difference. I think Cali CO and Illinois seem to send a lot of students here.
 
So I am interviewing this Friday the 24th... since it is so much later am I even going have a chance getting a spot or am I automatically going to be waitlisted?

You don’t need to be Jesuit/catholic but read up on the schools values and mission because they are a very mission oriented school (service, being men and women for others) so be able to talk about how your experiences connect to their mission.

My interviewer was like “we won’t convert you or anything when you come here as you know” (come from Jesuit uni) so it doesn’t matter
 
Lol, I got all excited to receive an email from Creighton today, expecting it to be news about the scholarship I applied for. Turned out it's a social media invite

I would say yes!
 
I am a current student and can tell you from personal experience that most people are NOT outright accepted. This is not exclusive to Creighton. They want to keep their options open and so even if they really like you as a candidate they might put you in the waitlist pile until they realize other candidates are not as high on their list. I promise once you are in it will all be worth it! Best of luck everyone!
 
Have they sent out any acceptance/alternate notifications for the 12/13 interview date? I remember them mentioning it would be this week, and I can't remember if it was supposed to be Monday or today.

Just keep checking if the paragraph in your portal that says "thank you for visiting" goes away and you'll know. If it goes away, you'll eventually get your decision.
