During my traditional interview, the student interaction is not an interview but they do have to write a report or something. It is basically you ask them questions and they show you around. I do not know how this helps you with your virtual interview. But just an FYI. Good luck my Dr. Smart!

Accepted students, have you guys filled out a scholarship application? They mentioned one but I dont know where I can locate it

You can pick up your Drexel ID via the "pre-matriculation" page on the secondary app portal. It says Drexel e-mail "preferred" so I'd just use your normal e-mail.

How long after you paid your 100 dollar deposit did you get an email confirming that you are holding your spot? They said they'd be sending one but I haven't gotten it yet
 
Are there any accepted students who are trying to get the fingerprinting done but can't due to being out of state and not wanting to fly to PA (bc COVID) ??

Idk where you're located but if you visit the website of the agency that does it for PA residents you might be able to find an affiliated one near you. That's what I did (CA resident) last month; I got it done, got my report via email, and simply forwarded it to the appropriate Drexel email.
 
Hey anyone still pre II deferred? I heard the last interview date is 4/9 which is coming up so I guess it’s a no go at this point!

I'm still on hold pre II. Unless there's a last minute Hail Mary I guess I'm not going to get an interview.

Same 🙁 I would rather have a rejection at this point. Being on hold/silence since December just feels like they never even bothered getting to my application. I guess that's to be expected to a hi-volume school like Drexel, bummer

I had everything complete in the application aside from CASPER in early September, which came in a couple weeks later. Then 4 days after that, at the end of September, I was placed on hold. I can relate to the pain of feeling stuck in limbo!
 
Does anyone here know a way to narrow down our schools to three other than reaching out to the schools individually? I have reached out to the schools but they are still listed on my AMCAS. Wanted to make sure I could narrow down by April 15 deadline as we were told

I withdrew on portals/emailed them or if there was no portal option, I just emailed them. They disappeared off of choose your medical school within the same business week

Yeah, there is no portal option for mine but I emailed. They haven't replied to my email or removed the school from my CYMST. If they are not down to 3 by April 15, I wouldnt be risking losing my spot at the school I have selected as PTE right?

No you wouldn’t. Keep in mind that the April 15th deadline is a recommended deadline it’s not required.
 
Accepted student, this is my top choice, but the only thing that concerns me is the ability to find research with SUCH a big class size. Any current med students that can speak to this? Thank you!

I interviewed on like September 14th lol. To be fair I am going to be withdrawing soon and I forgot to hit accept to my defer until January LOL. Could have been a fatal mistake but got into my favorite school so we good.

Thanks for being a real one and updating the forum on a rejection. You didn’t have to do that and not a lot of people have the courage to do that and accept a rejection. With that quality I’m sure you will be a fantastic physician one day. Good luck on the rest of your application cycle!!
