First R of the season! Complete 7/19. Good luck to everyone!!

Glad I'm not the only one who got caught up in the R wave. Complete 7/2X. Did receive an email notifying me.

First rejection of the season coming in hot from my alma mater. Complete 7/12, ORM, LM 75. sGPA is "highly competitive" according to their website and MCAT is extremely well above their median. Put a lot of effort into my essays here since I know their identity pretty well. My personal statement also ties in Jesuit values as well, so this one stings quite a bit.

Submitted the first week of July haven't heard anything at all...do they have an interview waitlist?

I wouldn't put much weight in the timeline! They are obviously not going in a strictly chronological order (many schools don't!) so there is no need to stress yourself out about what it means that you haven't receieved news yet. Easier said than done but don't bother trying to interpret whether you got a "soft R" or waitlist or anything like that. It's a fool's errand and whatever happens happens!

Still worth sending a secondary ?

Already confirmed primary/LORs but haven't gotten around to Georgetown, near the bottom of my list as I dont think i have the best chances LMFAO. Ive done the first 2 mini essays and have done decent research so far about the school for the 1 page essay and could do it pretty quick, Really would love to attend though. Canadian Medical school application system is non rolling and closed today so I was pretty caught up with that as well.

Im a Canadian, 507 MCAT/3.4 GPA, more than decent ECs, clinical + nonclinical volunteering, killer personal statement(according to me),research background still volunteering in the lab (Honors thesis + a publication expanding upon it in progress) .

I just submitted this past Saturday. I've always been super interested in Georgetown but I struggled to complete the secondary (combination of procrastination + self-doubt). If you have $130 to spare and you don't wanna be like "I should've applied ugh" down the line, then do it! Although, I have no clue how they view Canadian applicants. Maybe someone has better info

Everytime I start reading one of these "is it worth it" type questions, I'm ready to see a, "Shoot your shot kid" kind of response right after it, but in this case, if you've got the money I'd spend it on a more promising opportunity. If you really don't care about the money, then sure do it, but if money is an issue, spend it wisely.
