A few words for those of you on the alternate list:
Having been in the same position last year, I know how frustrating and demoralizing it is to still be on the waitlist with June being right around the corner and having to prepare to reapply. The worst thing you can do is be too hard on yourself especially now. As someone that didn't get into LECOM (my only acceptance last year) until the very end of July, I can tell you that the cycle is far from over. I can count at least 10 people in my class at Seton Hill that got in off the waitlist after the end of May with around 6 getting in after I did. Keep letting them know you are interested, be smart and reapply, and do yourself the favor of looking forward as to how you can improve rather than backward as to what you did wrong. This is a terribly long, arduous, and demoralizing process that takes a lot more than it gives. Keep your heads up and never stop fighting for the dream of becoming a physician. Medical school admissions is a very imperfect process and the lack of an acceptance letter does not mean that you never will or shouldn't become a physician. It just means that it might take you a little longer to get there.
I hope you all are staying safe and if there's anything you all have questions about, please don't hesitate to ask.
