I don't think this is the case. Other top schools adjust financial aid based on parental income; e.g. Yale is a flat $15k/year for people whose parents make less than $125k. NYU starts at around $33k/year. If an applicant's parents make too much money to receive a lot of aid from Harvard/JHU/Yale type schools, then NYU becomes a more attractive option. To me, it kind of seems that NYU's free tuition will attract matriculants from better-off familiesNot sure if I'd say money hungry. I feel that more so it's people who don't have parents to help pay for med school. I think money hungry people would actually try to go to the most prestigious place they get into and then go into like derm lol
