A today! Extremely stoked! 😆 I am ready to get my life in medicine started! I was woried I was going to have to roll with plan B... Good luck to all of you! I know how crazy this process has been!!

Ayyy congrats!! When did you interview? Were you ever put under consideration?

Got my A yesterday and am so excited! I interviewed on 2/8. Question for other people accepted, when did you have access to the "Plan to Enroll" on AAMC? I checked today and it has not shown up yet on the AAMC website that I have been accepted.

For those who have interviewed and heard back, is the response timeline closer to 4 weeks or 6 weeks?

You just have to wait for AMC to send acceptance data to AAMC. Might take a week or so.

hello! apologies if this has been asked before, but was curious about what people’s general experiences were like with the dean/student panel; i think i recall someone mentioning before that it was really helpful, so im looking forward to it! and minor question: is everyone in business-casual attire?

+1, wondering this as well. Was planning on wearing scrubs since I'll be at work...

Is the dean/student panel optional? Will it look bad if we don't go to that?

In my experience, everyone was dressed up in business formal. If you cannot make it it's not a big deal since it's mainly student-run and the dean just comes and talks for 20-25 mins. I'd say if you're going to go be present (dressed well, etc.) or just don't go at all. Lesser of two evils would be to not go since there is no real "attendance."

So if I’m at work just don’t bother?

Optional! I would have gone, but I had to work. I was accepted back in October, so I don’t think it affected anything.
If anyone has questions about student prospective of the school my inbox is available as well

If you are worried you can just call admissions to explain the situation that you need to work and if it is acceptable to wear scrubs because you would love to learn more. I honestly don't think it is a problem I know of people who did wear scrubs however if you are nervous you can also just throw on a nice blouse of the scrub top!

I was out of town when mine happened but made sure to attend and it helped me formulate a better opinion of AMC, but that's just my personal experience 🙂

Hi guys! New to this forum. Was put under consideration Feb 12th and was interviewed Jan 20th. Anyone else in the same boat?

No idea. I do remember they told us ~90% of the now MS1’s came off the UC, however I don’t know what percentage of the UC that was
The email says anyone not accepted right away is ranked so I would assume if they interview 700-800 then they rank ~600 student on the undecided list which is slightly terrifying..

Right, but aren't ppl likely to withdraw / not elect to remain under consideration? I think that ~600 number then drops a decent amount.

Hey I'm an IS ORM with a 3.96 gpa and 512 MCAT. I submitted Mid-September and have heard LITERALLY nothing from them since then. I have submitted the app for sure haha because it says yes next to all of my items and the finalize buttons is greyed out. It's been complete radio silence, anyone else in the same boat?

I was complete in early August and only just heard back like two weeks ago.

I was complete in October and still haven’t heard anything back. Do they send pre-II rejections right at the end?

Does anyone know if under consideration/acceptance status updates come a certain time period after your interview? Or is it random?

I believe around April they start putting people on the waitlist from under consideration

UC movement *has* to happen today. Don't schools have to give at least a number of acceptances equal to the number of spots in the class by March 15th?

*has* means pure speculation

I’m not sure. I do know schools have to give notice of their decision for each application today - which being UC, I believe, counts.

where did you hear that ?

AMCAS website;

"By March 15 of the matriculation year, issue a number of acceptance offers at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and report those acceptance actions to AMCAS."

Unfortunately, those are just recommendations. I think a lot of schools abide by the 3/15, but they don’t have to. My state school, for example, gives out most of their decisions closer to April 30th.

Does this school accept Letter oF Intents?

“We do not accept updates or letters of intent post-interview. Once an applicant interviews, their application is complete and the committee will not see anything added to an applicants file post-interview.”
