For anyone who sent a deposit check/money order how long did it take for it to be reflected on the Albany portal as received?

Mine took a month or two. After about two weeks with no reflection on my portal, I called their financial aid department to let them know I sent my money order and they assured me everything is fine because apparently they look at them all at once. I would give them a call though to make sure because I was pretty frantic too haha

got an email from AAMCs that I have an acceptance at 1 program. However, I have only interviewed at Albany. I havent received anything from albany so I am wondering if this is a mistake . SOS HELP
Read the email carefully. It's just saying that if you do that tool is available. I misread it too.

I see --. I called amcas for clarification and they were unable to answer directly what was going on (weird). the wait continues...

Have you tried checking spam? B/c it's not normal for people that interview after you to hear back and not you.
Too many times. Starting to think it’s a rejection coming, but trying to remain optimistic !

Has anyone had success emailing admissions about the UC movement? Just an anxious re-applicant over here having flashbacks to not getting off a waitlist last cycle :/
I'm right there with you friend! Same situation as last year for me too. UC sucks.

II today! OOS ORM. No ties. LM ~ 70. I'm completely new to this thread b/c I wasn't expecting to get an II from this school but can anyone bring me upto speed on the status here? Is the class pretty much full and how many ppl who interview end up with an R/A? I'm also not sure what UC is either since none of the other schools I've seen do that....

I got the financial aid package as well. 100% loans ~$80K for the 2021-2022 school year. Eyes almost fell out.
I got the same thing. Like are they really serious?! I'm going to be $320,000 + Interest in debt! No way Jose.

Lol same, not sure how their average indebtedness on MSAR is around 200k. Does anyone know if there is any con to accepting the offer now, and then deciding to go elsewhere? Asking since the email says we have to respond within 5 weeks.

Financial package wise, it is definitely mostly loans given out. A few large scholarships are given out each year. In general, more aid is collected as you continue through the years at AMC. (Ie, I for example have had more grants each year of school). There are also work study job options available.

edit: grammar

Thanks for the info. I have accepted that med school is def loans and I will be in 200K+ debts. I was just surprised that my aid was 100% loans. I did not take loans out for undergrad due to combination of scholarships + pell grant, therefore this was quite a shocker.

SAME. Idk if you had this problem, but under my unsubsidized loans it says I'm "over the limit" but I'm certain for med school that amount applies to us (it says so in the AMC financial aid guide). Hopefully you didn't run into this issue too but I'm gonna give their financial aid dept a call this week.
