Honestly, I'm kind of concerned that they have not stepped up their pace, considering how far behind they are. I know that their reviews are comprehensibly holistic. However, you would think that once they realized the amount of work they had to do to review applicants, they should have started reviewing every week instead of maintaining the biweekly review pace...or at the very least, bring in backup members to review and help with the process.
THIS. Its extremely frustrating bc they picked how many people to send secondaries to and how many people they interviewed. There’s no way they just suddenly realized they were behind and it feels like they don’t want to take responsibility for being so slow

I'm curious/confused about how the ranked WL fits into all this? Does this mean they have already started the ranked/alternative WL?
I think they will be accepting people who would have been accepted, but then they hit 200. So probably people who got waitlisted right when that was the best you could hope for.

i think the way it works is that they have everybody's score already in their system, but I think they wont communicate all of the final decisions until the very end. i believe this would provide them with kind of a safety net in case they get secondary withdrawals after giving ppl off the waitlist. thats just my opinion, and maybe I am wrong.
If this is the case its incredibly disheartening to those of us interviewed in feb and march 🙁

I totally agree that this is all disheartening and frustrating! However, those of us who interviewed in January were told we were interviewing for open spots, not the WL, which wasn't the case. Those of you who interviewed in Feb/March at least were warned that a direct acceptance wasn't likely.

Very true. I'm sorry that has happened to y'all . Fingers crossed for all of us moving forward.

Has anyone else heard back from 2/11? That's my interview date :O!! I will let you guys know if I get an email or call this week!

Thats 42 interview dates. am i missing any? did i add any extras? if every date had 20 ppl attend thats 840 interviews. I read somewhere or maybe watched a news story that 3500 applied. 840/3500 = 24% chance of interview. Now lets say out of 840 they offered 200 initial A's already. That means 640 are left. Out of those 640 lets say about half were given a post interview R and half were given a post interview WL. I take it that approx 320 are with us on the WL. History suggests they take 30-70 from the WL, lets take a conservative average of 50 for this cycle. This gives 50/320 chances to get pulled. Thats approx 15.6%. Now, out of the 320 that are on the WL, how many actually want to go to this school? Historical yield suggests about 68-70%. Lets take 69% as a cheeky average. So lets say 220 on the WL. So 50/220= 22%.

And this my freinds is what you do when you are super bored. Is any of this useful? likely not. So take EVERYTHING WITH A GRAIN OF SALT CAUSE TLDR NONE OF US KNOW BAHHAHAH

I appreciate your neuroticism lmao. What really irks me is that they gave out ALL of their initial offers when they had only reviewed HALF of their interview dates. That doesn't sit right with me.

This is hilarious! All jokes aside, I have really enjoyed everyone on this forum and hope we are all classmates/physician colleagues. 😊

I got the acceptance call today! Interviewed 02/09 and never got the WL email. I can’t believe this is happening and am still in shock! But I am holding out hope for everyone else who haven’t heard back yet. I know it’s brutal but hang in there!
WHOOOHOOOO im so excited for you 🙌🏻 thank you for bringing some hope into this thread. hoping for more good news coming for others soon too!!

Waitlisted 2/11!!! Was kind of excited about the possibility of a direct phone call, but we're that much closer!! Trying to stay hopeful 🥺

Just put on the waitlist. 2/11 interview. Was really hoping for an A as I love the school. I don’t know how much hope there is of getting off the waitlist though since the ranked list wont come out till July 1. All waitlist movement mostly happens in May and June so we’ll be missing all those waves with the list not being ranked yet.

Interviewed 2/16 and just got waitlisted. Is there some sort of ranking to the waitlist too? If so, is there a way for us to find out our position on the waitlist?
they do have a ranked waitlist, however admissions said that the deadline for releasing the ranking information to us is July 2. They could hopefully provide it sooner than that though.

Isn’t CTE on July 1st though? We potentially won’t know where we are on the waitlist before having to commit to any other school we’ve gotten into?

yeah others have mentioned this same logic on the thread prior....seems like that may be the case, unfortunately. they are very behind on reviews this year compared to last.

Does anyone know who to contact about my app for feedback? I'd like to know where to improve before applying again.

I believe the admissions office has some sort of form you can fill out and then they will schedule an appt with you to review your app! At least they had that option the first time I applied

So the rest of Feb has to wait 2 weeks now to hear back?
Im not sure, after looking back at previous pages on this forum, there were folks who heard back the week of April 12th and April 21st, a week apart. I think we'll just have to wait and see....
