I interviewed on Nov 5th.Congrats! Interview date?
Not too sure, when I interviewed, they said they will continue to interview people till they fill their class.Does anyone know how many II waves ou sent out? And if they’re planning on sending more? Not getting any OU love lol 🙁
Oh wow this is super interesting - I didn't know that they had these set review dates. I wonder for people who interviewed on 11/13 when they would be hearing back!I read that they review the interviewees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays of the month, but does anyone know if there are specific days of the week that they send out admissions decisions?
Historically it’s been thurs and fri, but they’ve been weird sending it Mon/Tues as well this year. It seems to mostly be as stated, after the first, third, and fifth Wed.I read that they review the interviewees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays of the month, but does anyone know if there are specific days of the week that they send out admissions decisions?
Sorry to hear this, best of luck to you. As someone who inteviewed here recently im wondering if you feel there were any improvements you could have made or anything that you felt weird about from your interviewers? Any insights you gleaned about what your interviewers wanted to hear from you?Just got a post-II R. I interviewed last year and got waitlisted. Thought I did even better this year but didn't even get waitlisted this time, just rejected.
Nopelate august applicants hear back yet?
congratulations!! When did the II come in?Hi everyone! II today, Complete 8/29, Interview scheduled for Jan 7th. It's on my birthday! I just got dragged through the mud by a dog I walked and dropped my phone on the ground. I had to hunt where I dropped my phone. When I picked it back up, it had a II. Maybe I need to get trashed on more often?
I got it at 1:30 PST, sooo around 4:30 EST.congratulations!! When did the II come in?
edit: when as in what time-ish
Congrats! May I know your completion date?Got a II! LM 73, IS, and have ties to Oakland. Best of luck to everyone!
I honestly have no idea what went wrong. I thought my interviews were phenomenal; one even told me I had a good heart and my app was inspirational. I know some schools allow you to make an appointment after you're rejected to give you feedback/advice, so I am going to try and do that (though I'm not sure if OUWB does this).Sorry to hear this, best of luck to you. 09/04Congrats! May I know your completion date?
Do you guys think that people from the 11/05 II date will hear back this week? or are they still evaluating the October crowd?
Yes, last week 🙂Last year it looks like OUWB sent out scholarship awards pretty soon after the first acceptances (Late October-ish). Has anyone heard any word on the financial aid front?
Awesome! Any insight you'd like to share?Yes, last week 🙂
+1Received a merit scholarship last week as well.
Sure! Dean Kallenberger called last Tuesday and gave the offer. I ended up getting a half merit (very gratefully so). Hopefully you’ll be getting a similar call soon!Awesome! Any insight you'd like to share?
Congrats on your interview! There are both need and merit based. To qualify for need based, you have to submit your parent’s tax info on FAFSA. It sounds like every accepted student is looked at for merit based. These are given for grades, scores, healthcare experience, commitment to medicine, fit with mission, etc. What are the qualifications for merit scholarships here? Are they need based on income or is it an application process? I’m interviewing here so I’m happy to see people receiving aid
I should add that there is no application process for merit based scholarships, accepted students are automatically consideredCongrats on your interview! There are both need and merit based. Thank you for all the information.☺️I should add that there is no application process for merit based scholarships, accepted students are automatically considered
Wow, congratulations! That’s incredible. When were you accepted if you don’t mind me asking?Sure! Dean Kallenberger called last Tuesday and gave the offer. I ended up getting a half merit (very gratefully so). Hopefully you’ll be getting a similar call soon!
Did they call an employer?Last week someone I put down as a contact on AAMC was called (they are pretty sure by Oakland) and asked about me. Has anyone had this happen? I was waitlisted a month or so ago.
Yes, a past one.Did they call an employer?
Thank you! Nov. 19thWow, congratulations! That’s incredible. When were you accepted if you don’t mind me asking?
Sorry to hear this and I wish you luck at other places. Do you mind sharing when you were complete please?Pre II R :/

Thank you!! I was complete 11/1Sorry to hear this and I wish you luck at other places. Do you mind sharing when you were complete please?
The process is totally messed up across the board. It is really a roll of the diceI honestly have no idea what went wrong. I think also a lot of bias is involved in the processThe process is totally messed up across the board. It is really a roll of the dice
Was it an employer in any way affiliated with OUWB? Also, do you know if they were just confirming that you worked there, or were they asking questions about you?Yes, a past one.
God what you said, and your username is such a freaking MOOD. That is honestly how I have felt all throughout this cycle, and probably how I will feel until it ends. The process is totally messed up across the board. It is really a roll of the dice
