Anyone here interview yesterday (3/17)? I did. I am just curious if you heard anything about how long it will take to hear back after the interview.

I did. Based off of last years thread, I imagine we won't hear back until the last week or so of April.
 
Not sure if this has been posted earlier on the thread, but I interviewed on 3/12 and asked when I would hear back. Basically, they said a committee group meets once a week, so depending on which group number your application is in, you'll hear sooner rather than later. So, if your application happens to be group 2, it's likely you'll hear back sooner than someone who is in group 6, as they would meet later. I think the grouping is random. I could have totally misunderstood, but that is what I came out with. I think if you haven't heard for 6 weeks, its likely that your committee simply hasn't met. This II was pretty random for me, so I wasn't up to date on this thread/info at all. Hope this is kind of helpful!

Anybody know when the second look day is? How is it going to affect people (like me) who probably won't receive a decision until on or around April 30th?
 
anyone knows when penn state notifies financial aid? do they award good scholarships compared to other schools?
 
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but is a committee hold the same thing as being waitlisted?

Basically something along the lines of "Second look is for admitted students... you are not an admitted student." It was pretty dry and I could tell they didn't even read my email in full before responding.
 
Anyone have any idea about when they look at the post-II hold list? I've been on hold since the beginning of December and the uncertainty is brutal.

Dang, that is disappointing! I interviewed a little less than a month ago so I won't be hearing back before the second look day either. I wish they were a little more understanding!

Looking at their website (MD Program Entering Class Profiles - Penn State College of Medicine), they offer acceptances to about 48% of those that interview. Although I don't know how many of those offers start out as waitlisted students.
 
pre-ii hold, lm 71, oos with weak ties, complete early October
(it is nearly april????????)
 
Got the pre-ii hold too. Haven’t heard anything from this school since I submitted in August. I forgot I even applied here.
I don’t understand the point of sending out holds in late March. Aren’t interviews pretty much over?

I don't know, but my best guess is they send holds because they might consider you for an interview, but not right now. They have sent so many pre-II holds that I'm assuming they're all pretty much rejections, but they've probably ranked students on the hold list in case students drop, they're not getting students PTEing like previous years, etc.
 
Is anyone else STILL waiting from Jan interviews? I interviewed Jan 20th and nothing but silence. 🙁 Unsure if I should perhaps reach out at this point?

Hey everyone, how have you all gone about submitting updated transcripts? Have you just directed the school in which you are taking courses to send it to a specific email address or mailing address? If so can you let me know what they are, thank you!

Hi! I know specifically for penn state that they don’t accept updated materials 🙁
