So basically if you’re on a “committee hold” (waitlist), they do not accept LOI? And if you haven’t heard anything back post-interview yet, you can submit a LOI? I am ridiculously confused LMAO

I have no idea if it ACTUALLY means waitlist, I just kind of assumed because they said my application would be re-reviewed after April 30th (i.e. once accepted students choose a medical school). Also, it appears as if the options post-interview are acceptance, rejection, or committee hold.

Does the name Marc Lubbers ring a bell...? I did some digging and I think he might be who you're looking for. At the very least, I met him during my interview day and I think he's present for most of them.

I believe so :/ scholarships were listed in the middle portion of the aid package and additional emails were sent about the scholarships received a few days two later. Possible that scholarships will open up after people withdraw acceptances?

As per MSAR, "Students on the wait list are frequently reviewed with the potential of being accepted into the entering class. A significant number of applicants from the wait list are accepted each cycle" with 25/70 given acceptance offers :')

Their Financial Aid office mentioned that they might release additional aid after the CTE date as people withdrew acceptances, so you might hear more at the end of April or beginning of May?

That is false. The last post-interview decision is usually the last week of April.

Looking back at last year (and I know this year is an anomaly so take this with a grain of salt), people were still taken off the WL after second look day. I assume second look day is for anyone accepted who wants a second look, not necessarily those committed to the school?

I did! I sent an official one through my school's portal to the email that contacted us about the hold

If you're on hold, they won't accept LOI, only grade updates through official transcripts. But if you havent heard back yet, you can send an LOI but no updates

You have to reword it to have 0 updates and instead just say that if accepted, you'll take the position. Look up what a Letter of Intent (to enroll) is on google/sdn/reddit. This should give you more clarity

Dont know if anyone else attended the UP session, but one of the admin deans said if this year is anything like the previous ones, there's be a lot of WL movement after April 30. Pls someone else confirm I heard this right if you went and it's not my delusions making this up LOL
