2020-2021 Toledo

I also got the II on Friday. The only date available right now is February 16 for anyone who hasn't scheduled but they said they open new dates on the 15th and 25th of each month. I will be declining it as I've gotten into other schools higher on my list, but I hope someone else on this thread gets it. This thread was always something to turn to when I needed a laugh. I appreciate all of you guys and I will still be lurking around here in the shadows.

Hmm, I mean if we do get an II, can we wait more than 48hrs to schedule an interview? That way, we can wait until the 15th or 25th, but it would take us longer than 48hrs to schedule the interview?

I was complete at the end of July. I think it's just recommended you do it within 48 hours so you can get the times you want but its not necessary. If somebody's heard differently correct me

I like that they sent it out so late. They're really into keeping us all on our toes now, lol.
 
In my initial interview email I was told that I would receive details on zoom links and other information about the interview day. I have yet to receive anything. Is this normal?

Under the interview tab, you should have “video interview” option, just underneath the “navigating my day”. If you click on video interview section, you’ll find a agreement that needs to be sign. Once you sign it, you’ll get all the info for the interview. If you don’t have that tab yet, wait. I think I got it on the morning of my interview day.

Hey. Prepare for the ethical questions - almost all of it. Even though I prepped for ethical questions beforehand, it didn’t help much. Also, just a tip (and I did this), they will say not to open the tab for next interview before 2 mins of interview starting, I consistently opened it like 4 mins early. That way, I had 4 mins plus 2 more mins the interviewer give to formulate answers. I had 6 mins in total to think about what I was gonna say and this helped a lot.

Each interview is in the interval of 15 minutes and there are 8 interviews conducted by 8 different people. You’ll have 2 mins (You can have 6 mins - like i did by opening the tab early) to read the prompt and 8 mins to respond to it. There will be 5 mins of break after each interview to calm yourself down lol.

I learned that you cannot prep well for MMIs, at least I can't. Just gotta see what feels right in the moment! Thank you for the advice and tip
 
Tough questions, not gonna lie. Toledo isn't afraid to make you defend your thoughts, especially in difficult situations. Haha but great experience.
 
Like others have said they ask a lot of ethical questions and there are several which are scenario based. I felt pretty good about it and my stress seemed to be much lower while going through it than I had anticipated.

Did you prep at all? If so, what did you use? I’ve never had an MMI interview before and I’m somewhat lost on what to expect/how to prepare
 
Do you think they already sentmost is ii already or do you think there's a lot more remaining
 
Has anyone who submitted their secondary later gotten an interview yet? by later I mean late September or later. Im just wondering if they are sending interviews chronologically
 
If I have a MCAT update, should I email them or use the "Document Upload" function on the portal?
 
Most of the people in my interview group were closely tied to Toledo. Each year they take like 40-50 people from the Northwest Ohio area so I'm assuming that was first pick. I don't know how many seats they've already filled from the SMP and other programs.
 
So it looks like II go out Mondays and Thursdays? And there is not much leeway in terms of actual interview date being the same week or the week after?
 
Can any current students name apartments/areas that most of the med students tend to live in? I looked at housing in the area and it’s bleak.

the II email says (subject to change, but mine says this) that they update the interview slots the 15th and 25th of each month and to check back on those days for new availabilities. interview dates are Tuesdays and Fridays, two sessions per day. Hope this helps 🙂

**ALSO EDIT to add that I did not actually go through the future months to look for a date as I just picked my date right away... I only saw this week and last week because there are only two weeks left in Feb...
