Maybe not hence the “trying” lolIs that possible lol.
FYI guys and girls, Admissions told me that accepting 1/3 of waitlisted is false and simply depends each year.

How is that possible? What's even more frustrating is receiving those COVID alerts everyday and no word from the admissions.I honestly don't know. I'm trying to refrain myself from refreshing my email too much lol

Congrats!! When was your interview? and when did you find out you were on a waitlist?Hi everyone! I was waitlisted at UCSF and UCSF-JMP and I’ve been following this thread closely the past few weeks... joined SDN to update y’all that I was just offered a spot at UCSF-JMP!
Thanks! I interviewed Jan 20th and was waitlisted March 10thCongrats!! When was your interview? and when did you find out you were on a waitlist?

Kind of wondering same thing. Based on the 3 pulled off, I’m like damn I should’ve done JMP. -_-I’m wondering if they’ve accepted anyone off the regular MD waitlist???

Thanks!!This morning, I asked the admissions office about the likelihood of future USCF waitlist movement. They said that the majority of offers are made in May and June, with movement slowing down as we approach June. They also said this year was unpredictable. The response was pretty unsurprising/boiler plate, but it suggests that more movement is possible! I think the info about them being done with offers after the second week of May isn't correct!
No idea hence the regret lol 😕In general, is the JMP slightly easier to get into?
Not sure, but the JMP doesn't overenroll at all since there are only 16 people in the program. It might be why there has been more movement. In general, is the JMP slightly easier to get into?
Lmao. “Who said this?” Is what I was told…I thought 33% of waitlisted applicants got off at least according to MSAR. What is this...
I'm surprised it's this quiet. It seems like there is very few if any, movement at all this cycle.I’m guessing this silence can’t be good.
Fair point but I don't understand why the admissions keep giving students false hope? We're at the end of May and the wait list movement has been non-existent. Has anyone tried emailing them recently? What are they telling students now?I will be completely honest, from what I have heard from other accepted students, I don't think much waitlist movement will happen with UCSF. With Step 1 going P/F, I think less people will be turning down a P/F T5 state school in CA. I hope the best for the rest of you on the WL though!
Godspeed!Just withdrew my spot on the WL. Good luck to you all!
NopeIt's June. Fingers crossed for some movement. Has anyone heard anything?
nope, and my commit to enroll deadline is in a couple weeks at another school. I'm crossing my whole body at this point lolIt's June. Fingers crossed for some movement. Has anyone heard anything?
if that's the case, would you CTE to a diff school first, then switch later??Does anyone know the latest date that anyone has actually been accepted off of the alternate list? I’ve heard rumors that people have heard back two days before classes start, which I know is theoretically possible, but is it true?
No.. Or else people would be doing that for years. They get notified when you commit to another school.if that's the case, would you CTE to a diff school first, then switch later??
