I wonder how often the Seattle committee meets. Is it really every week like the email says?

There isn't another interview week until something like Jan 18, so there won't be another meeting til after that, at the very least

Yeah, I think it means that for every week for which there are interviews, they meet and then send updates. So I guess the next update will be mid Jan.

So glad it's not an R!! Fingers crossed for all of us.

OOR SUC (Seattle campus) yesterday after interviewing 12/17. Not sure what to think of this...
Same boat, thought my interview went well except for the last 5 seconds where my Excom thanked me for applying 🤣 didn't get a "see you next fall" vibe.

I wouldn't read too much into it! My excom said something along the lines on "we look forward to seeing you if you're admitted." I'm just shocked that I heard something so quickly.

Yeah mine was 12/16 and I figured it would be around last week. Will be interesting to see when we hear after the next round. Wonder what % of seats are left for OOR.

OOR Interviewed last week 12/15 and have not heard back yet. Is this a good or bad thing?

My guess is the committee already met or is literally meeting as I type out this reply, so if you don't receive an acceptance phone call before Christmas Eve you'll likely either receive a SUC email or a R email... Sorry to be so straightforward, but this has been the experience of most applicants.

Does anybody know how they determine who gets an acceptance? If I didn't feel like I connected with the EXCOM during my interview am I doomed?

My interview is January 5th!
That's what someone else said too! I specifically asked about interview dates in early January before I scheduled mine in December, and was told there wouldn't be any 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ clearly they changed their minds!!

Oh hear me out, I know what the issue is. My interview date is specifically for OOR applicants. So if you aren't OOR, that's probably why they told you there wasn't any

OOOOOOH Makes sense! 😂 I'm in state for washington 🙂

Any current WWAMI region students around that I could PM some questions to??

Fellow SUC applicants: when can we expect to hear an update?

I know the “final” decision will be released in mid March, but is there a chance we receive an acceptance phone call in January or February? How often is our application brought up in subsequent EXCOM meetings?

Thanks for the insight and good luck to everyone!

Possibly! I'm pretty sure there's going to be at least one EXCOM meeting in January (not sure end or beginning of January since there are 2 interview weeks?) to which we could expect anything from an A, R or another SUC. And if we're placed under SUC again I guess we'd just have to wait for the March decisions since that's the final EXCOM meeting.

That's just my best guess as to how all this works, I could be wrong though.

Since my original SUC which was on Nov 5th, I've received three other emails every few weeks confirming they are still looking at my application and haven't made a decision. I think I get this email after each EXCOM meeting where my app is discussed. There is a chance these could have turned into an A or an R, but most likely I think most SUC students won't hear back until March.

To my understanding, they look at everything in your app but your interview still remains an important component (generic answer, I know). I wish I could tell you about how they weight the interview relative to everything else, but it'd be pure conjecture.

FWIW, I connected super well with 2 of the excoms at my interview, but not the 3rd and made it, and I think prior threads have applicants who felt like the interview didn't go well but still got accepted. If it's a matter of not connecting with 1 excom, I wouldn't sweat it because there's a reason why there's 3 of them interviewing you. Imo, it's sorta a crapshoot and all you can do is hope for the best. Crossing my fingers for ya!!

If we have a grade update, do we include a PDF of the unofficial transcript and email the admissions office?

After your 11/17 interview, were you given an expected timeline of when you'd hear back? Or did you receive a SUC email initially and then an acceptance phone call later on?

They said we would hear back on a desicion in a week (I got an acceptance call exactly a week after my interview). I was not placed on SUC.

Should I email admissions about scheduling my OOR interview? It’s been over two weeks since I received an email saying I was selected to interview.

Don’t. They’ll get to you when they get to you. Trust me, you’re not the only person waiting. Also it’s the holiday season/new year so I doubt anyone has been working the last couple of weeks. Congrats on the interview tho

Here I am, a TRUST applicant, who hasn't heard back from admissions since early November when they told me that at some point in the future I would be contacted to schedule an interview.
