how long did it take you to get the hard copy acceptance?

Prolly will give that out to people who end up committing. They know some people are bound to withdraw acceptances, so no point in creating e-mails for people who won't matriculate.
 
Anyone who submitted mid-Sep got an interview? Just asking for a friend who hasn't heard back not sure if they've reached the September/October folks yet.

I did, and I think some Oct completes also received IIs during the last round of II releases
 
Does anyone know how they want us to send post-interview thank you letters? They had me leave the info session for a make up MMI so I never got that information.

Email the admissions email with pdf attachments of the thank you letters. They want all the thank you letters in the same email because they are getting flooded with multiple thank you emails. They will forward the pdf letters to the correct person
 
I have an interview next week and im an OOS student. Does anyone know what the acceptance is like post-II for OOS students?

Every other week. She said sometimes they get through making decisions on everyone on that day, sometimes they don't. So when they even look at your file post-interview is based on luck too. Regardless, if you haven't heard back yet, it probably means they just didn't get to you yet.

They did that in the past where the tracker wasn’t correct and too premature. So I wouldn’t be surprised or they just haven’t sent out emails yet about A’s considering today’s an interview day and they’re too busy or something

Oh I see, thank you! Really praying there's some WL movement this month like past years 🙂 the wait has been so stressful and its only Dec rip
 
For any current students: once our required clerkships are completed, are we able to take vacation times instead of electives? Is there a limit to how many electives we can just take off from? I remember one of the faculty mentioned we could take a month off for an elective but wasn't sure if it was limited to 1 month.
 
Interviewed this past week and they said there’s a chance we hear this coming week... Anyone buying that? I know they had a committee meeting Thursday. Also were there interviews thanksgiving week? If not, that might help us hear sooner... 😅

It'd be nice if they got back to us that quickly..I interviewed this past week too. Was it just me or did it sound like they will be sending out mostly waitlists and rejections at this point?

Wait they had a committee meeting the Thursday that was two days ago?

I interviewed December 2nd and they said 6-8 weeks but probably longer cause of holidays

Yea, Wayne State is one of the super holistic schools out there. Plus they are super selective about their ‘fit’ i heard. They apparently added another criteria about wanting applicants to have an experience with disadvantaged population in urban setting.
 
I just want to send some words of encouragement to everyone waiting. This cycle is long and emotionally exhausting but just know that you made it this far for a reason. YOU (yes you) will make an amazing future physician, whether it be at Wayne or another school. Keep your head up, remind yourself why you are pursuing this, and just know that you have lots of potential. You are more than just your application. There is TONS of time in this cycle left. I really do believe there will be lots of WL movement. I really hope all you amazing people get off the WL or get accepted right away because it would be amazing to be classmates 🙂 !
