Today Admissions said that they're still "actively interviewing and inviting students" which definitely contradicts their rejection emails last week so who knows anymore :/
yeah honestly they've been giving different answers to people lmao so who even knows . someone also asked about the WL and I think they ignored it

Nah they said that if you're on the WL you should send an update letter or letter of intent! Although I guess that response was from a student rather than the actually admissions committee

People who have interviewed this cycle, how was it? Do they mention if its a open, closed, or partially closed interview? How did it feel completing the interview over zoom? Appreciate any response 🙂

it's open file for both student and faculty (student doesn't get your MCAT or grades). Overall, a very organized process and they did a great job transitioning to virtual interviews. The MMIs are also very chill and you get the vibe that these interviewers want you to do well. Have questions prepared to ask student/faculty, also make sure you're not rambling on for too long about your application materials because they've read your application before the interview (try to add more to what they already know). these were some takeaways from my interview experience (of course I haven't been accepted yet so take these with a grain of salt). Good luck 🙂

thanks for the helpful response! One follow up question if you don't mind, do they tell you who you are interviewing with beforehand or do you find out right before the interview?

I'm assuming this school doesn't send Pre-II rejections? Silence since August and sounds like slots are filled for II?

Where is the link to join the welcome session? I am looking in my portal but only see the schedule and links for the actual interview portions.
You'll get it in an email the night before! Mine came at like 10pm the night before

1-2 days before or the week of the interview it shows up on your portal. No problem, feel free to message me if you have any questions 🙂

I am late but this school reached out to me to submit my secondary to be considered for this cycle but the questions are not the same as what I’m seeing from this thread. I have emailed them so we will see :/

Was it like a generic email? I mean I got rejected a week ago and they said all IIs have been sent out.

I would make sure by calling them unless you have a secondary fee waiver.

I don't know if we are going to hear anything today if SDN is representative. Almost all post-II decisions were released on Fridays and Mondays.

This is great but it has nothing before 11/9 - all through october i'm pretty sure acceptances were on thursday. A huge wave went out 10/15 and then WLs went out that friday (I was one of them lol)

We gotta have hope ya know 😂

I specifically excluded the first batch because I didn’t think they were representative. They were meeting and deciding before October 15 and only releasing them after that. October 15 being a Thursday and all that.

Wait yeah that’s true def didn’t think of it like that. What I’ve noticed is that they send out a small waves Sunday night, but then the larger one is on Monday. Fridays from what I’ve seen on that doc are mostly WL :/

i was interviewed on 1/15 , i got an email with Alternate category, is this same as WL ?
