Wait I said that based on your reply to another person haha. The comment about adding a category for service to urban under-resourced populations, which I have a good amount of and come from a similar background. What were people saying about the background stuff?
did you get an II?Probably people who applied late.
Thank you!! And yes, so don't lose hope yet!CONGRATS! I'm sure the stress was crazy!
I was complete about a week after you and haven't heard anything. So maybe there's still a chance for me, lol?
Nope ♂️ Submitted 7/25/2020Ho
did you get an II?
-Do applicants who interview after Jan (or in the new year) all going to be waitlisted?Current M1 at WSUSOM, feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions!
I submitted my secondary mid-October and got an II. I hope you hear back soon. Now Im just wondering If my October submission of 2ndry was too late and my fee was a donation. I should get a tax deduction
that Dec 31st deasldline needs to go. I doubt apps are looked passed Oct/Nov
1) Typically, most of the decisions after Jan are waitlisted but many of those waitlisted do eventually get accepted.-Do applicants who interview after Jan (or in the new year) all going to be waitlisted?
-What tips do you have for the MMI?
-Do you recommend reading up on healthcare policy?
I'm really nervous for my interview - Wayne is my top choice too. Thank you for all your help 🙂
Thanks so much 🙂1) Typically, most of the decisions after Jan are waitlisted but many of those waitlisted do eventually get accepted.
2) Watch the course grinder MMI practice videos on youtube, these really helped me out!
3) I would definitely be familiar with healthcare policy to an extent but you don't need to be an expert on the matter by any means.
I hope so! Maybe we'll get some good news on Monday. Then, I'll have something to be thankful for this year's Thanksgiving! 🙂So far their one day for A's was Monday about 2 weeks ago, I think they might release the other A's near Thanksgiving
Yoo!! I had the same thing happen to me! 4.0 GPA, 516 MCAT, hella research and ECs, WL at WSU until June 30th baby, started class July 15th. Also, WSU was the only school out of all 15 I applied to, MD/DO, that gave me an interview invite. This whole process is totally ****ed up and a crap shoot, so shoot your shot and see what happens.I have heard they believe 520s will choose other schools, but thats just words. My friend got 517 and was waitlisted until the last few weeks before matriculation
Haha I'm with you there!! Still waiting on my response, and they've been pretty silent with A's after the small wave on Monday 2 weeks ago!I hope so! Maybe we'll get some good news on Monday. Then, I'll have something to be thankful for this year's Thanksgiving! 🙂)
A high MCAT score can prevent someone from having a relaxing year. That is totally messed up !!!Yoo!! Usually you don't have to commit until early June, you can plan to commit in April but it isn't binding until June, but make sure you pay attention to each schools specific deadlines, they may vary! The problem is that we have to commit to enroll to a school some time in April so it would be a shame if they gave us acceptance after we already commit to a school.
you can stay on other schools' waitlists even if you commit to enroll. some people will think they're going to one school but then right before classes start they get into another school off the waitlist and jump shipThe problem is that we have to commit to enroll to a school some time in April so it would be a shame if they gave us acceptance after we already commit to a school.
You can do this for PTE. You are technically supposed to withdraw from all schools for CTE and thus you are NOT allowed to stay on other schools' waitlists.you can stay on other schools' waitlists even if you commit to enroll. some people will think they're going to one school but then right before classes start they get into another school off the waitlist and jump ship

Hope so, was told during my interview day that we'd hear back prior to thanksgivingPredicting there might be a wave of As this upcoming thanksgiving week since they’ve been pretty silent with As for a while. What do you guys think? 🙂
Congrats on your interview! I think you should feel confident about it. It's very possible that you will be waitlisted, but also there's a chance that you could be accepted too. Of course rejections happen, but it doesn't seem like they're happening post interview at this point. But they also said after my interview that if you really don't match the mission they could reject you outright.Hi everyone! I just got an II this past Tuesday (my first one!! so excited 🙂 ), and I scheduled for earliest available which was January. I was wondering if anyone knows
- by that point, will I be interviewing for the waitlist? do you think it makes a big difference if someone interviews in december vs january? I saw from a few posts ago that others offered an II on Tuesday scheduled for Dec
- has anyone been rejected post-II yet or been accepted post-II yet? I'm seeing a lot of people put on the WL, but the website says that 150+ acceptances have gone out
- any info on how this year is different from last year? I'm trying to estimate my chances (not very useful, I know), and it seems like they will offer 300 more interviews than last year according to MSAR
For the interview, why would they reject you for not fitting in with the mission? Don't they screen out people that don't fit pre-interview? I assumed rejections post-II were more about not vibing with interviewer, red flags during interview, etcCongrats on your interview! I think you should feel confident about it. usually after the New Year it's mostly waitlists, but there's lots of movement on the waitlist and this year, it seems like they're gonna have a smaller waitlist so it'll be more likely to get accepted from the waitlist.
and yes, there have been acceptances post-II.
Go in thinking you are interviewing for a seat that they are already holding for you. They gave you an interview so they think you’re good enough. I interviewed 10/23 and was accepted 11/9. I’m OOS. A lot of what people say on SDN about interviewing for waitlists and such is conjecture. Take it with a grain of salt. Go in and kill it friend! And for your last question, it’s impossible to tell. It’s true that they are interviewing a little more people this year so I’d imagine the WL might be bigger.Hi everyone! I hope so! I think the waiting for post interview decision is the hardest part of whole application process.I think if they don't respond still then yeah, but I think they're releasing decisions this week since its the week of Thanksgiving and they said they'll get back to us before then!
😂 i think pre-ii is the worst!I hope so! I think the waiting for post interview decision is the hardest part of whole application process.
