I doubt it. It would’ve been reported here by now tbhPeople keep saying this, but has anyone actually been rejected post interview yet?
I know a close friend (not an SDN user) who got rejected post-interview so it does happen . They said it had something to do with what they thought was a rude interviewerPeople keep saying this, but has anyone actually been rejected post interview yet?
I don’t know the logistics behind the numbers and maybe I’m just being overly optimistic. But I believe you never truly know until you get the rejection email so there could still be a chance. So interview tracker is at 1454. Well see y’all next year then. :/ I guess there’s no hope for an interview
Definitely! At the student coffee chats through Wayne a lot of current students were talking about how they didn't interview here until Feb/March!! There's always hope until you get the R, don't get too discouraged!I don’t know the logistics behind the numbers and maybe I’m just being overly optimistic. But I believe you never truly know until you get the rejection email so there could still be a chance.
They are. The deadline is december 31st. They are going for 1500~1600 this cycle.Does anybody know if Wayne State is still sending out II? I've been complete since 9/18 and it's been silence since
Keep your head up! This stuff is all luck! You might get one or might not. Focus should be reapplying! So interview tracker is at 1454. Well see y’all next year then. :/ I guess there’s no hope for an interview
No 🙁Did anyone get any decisions today?

When were you waitlisted?just got moved off the waitlist and got my first A 😊😊😊😊😊
yup got the email @ 8:30, was waitlisted 12/18 after i interviewed on 12/7Wow great!! Did this just happen?
oops sorry for just getting back to you but I'm a current M1 at WSUSOM so I can help answer your questions!I had a couple miscellaneous questions if anyone knows the answers to some of them (prospective students or WSU students!):
-Are lectures mandatory to attend?
-Is there a dress code when you are on campus?
-How often are exams? (also heard there are weekly quizzes?)
-What does your typical week of class look like?
the tracker didn't even update smh lolyup got the email @ 8:30, was waitlisted 12/18 after i interviewed on 12/7
it usually gets updated prematurely!the tracker didn't even update smh lol
bruh this is actual WL goals af . I'm so happy for you 🙂yup got the email @ 8:30, was waitlisted 12/18 after i interviewed on 12/7
same thing happened to me last night! see ya next year 🙂yup got the email @ 8:30, was waitlisted 12/18 after i interviewed on 12/7
Congrats! When did you interview/get waitlisted?same thing happened to me last night! see ya next year 🙂
interviewed 2 weeks ago and WL last fridayCongrats! When did you interview/get waitlisted?
I think you’re most likely right in this case since it didn’t seem like any A’s were released from those dates (it was all WLs). Probably default WLed everyone for more time to review. Makes for a pretty great early Christmas gift, so congrats to everyone this happened to🙂Congrats everyone!! I believe it's because Wayne waitlists everyone (even those who are not fully reviewed) to have more time for extensive review. I assume admins have a certain due date to make decisions, which is why the strange timeline exists? I heard it happens more frequently in the later portion of the cycle.
wait so youre saying that nobody has been straight up accepted after interview this cycle?I think you’re most likely right in this case since it didn’t seem like any A’s were released from those dates (it was all WLs). Probably default WLed everyone for more time to review. Makes for a pretty great early Christmas gift, so congrats to everyone this happened to🙂
No I meant last week when they released the most recent decisions!wait so youre saying that nobody has been straight up accepted after interview this cycle?
I've never posted but it seems like everyone here would rather know than not know. I interviewed 12/14 and got on the alternate list on Fri 12/18. I got an acceptance email yesterday at 2pm. I honestly think it's a fluke or a mistake since the timeline is so strange, but we'll see!
Thanks fo your detailed response! It was really helpful.oops sorry for just getting back to you but I'm a current M1 at WSUSOM so I can help answer your questions!
- Lectures are not mandatory to attend. All of our lectures are recorded which makes it nice so you can set your own schedule. We do have some required review sessions during some of our units which are generally pretty helpful and we have some required zooms every week but no required lectures.
- there is no dress code! We just need to be wearing scrubs when we go into gross anatomy labs which is pretty reasonable but other than that, its chill
- So we have weekly quizzes that are required but are pretty lenient (you get 100% for your quiz score if you get 70% of the questions right and you get three tries to get your 70%). We have exams after every unit so typically every month or 5ish weeks. We'll have a histology exam on Monday, Gross anatomy exam on wednesday, and then our big NBME exam which usually counts for 55% of our grade on a Friday and then that's it for exams!
- So our typical week of class will vary based on the unit but usually we'll have anywhere from 4-12 lectures to watch and study during the week, we have a 1.5 hour histology lab via zoom that happens about once a week, and then we have another course called P4 with a 2 hour required session every other week. So not too bad in terms of requirements but you definitely have to be careful with managing your time. We also have gross anatomy but the number of labs depends on the unit but those will be 3 hour labs sometimes up to 2x a week.
