I have been following this thread for a while but I can’t remember if there is a FB page for accepted students or anything of the sort
 
Just to clarify as a paranoid pre-med, if I accept the offer on my portal, it’s not completely binding, right?

No. I interviewed 11/2, and didn't receive my decision until february (much longer than 4-6 weeks). I was waitlisted btw. But don't give up hope, that's not true, and there were at least 1-2 other people on this thread who waited as long as I did as well.

Yes, I got waitlisted on 2/8. They were pretty clear that they would respond in 4-6 weeks, so the early WL response surprised me. Seems like they WL most people automatically, though maybe that's just my impression.

Thanks! I actually happened to send my thank-you notes for my interviewers a few minutes after I got my waitlist email (Yes, a week late, and yes after I had just been waitlisted- though I did not know it at the time). So not an official "Letter of Interest", but I actually did email the admissions team that day (they distribute our thank-you's for us), and briefly mentioned how my interview experience was very positive.
 
1k+ waitlisters, around 100+ more A's left. Roughly 10%-15% chance for the rest of us on the waitlist. Not the ideal place to be in, but we can still be grateful that we are in a better position than those still waiting for an II.
 
does anyone know how many As they plan on releasing this cycle, havent gone to a coffee chat in a while lol

do you think the chances of getting the A will increase after more spots upon up in April and people pick their schools or will the odds still stay low?

Depends on the waitlist movement. Though every school is anticipating a higher movement this cycle, I don't think it would be anything drastically different from previous cycles.

Hm, I thought Wayne accepted more than 550 applicants? Don’t schools usually over accept (usually approximately double their actual class) even before pulling out waitlisted applicants? I might be way off, but I thought wayne usually accepted ~700 apps 😳

I think they'll be accepting more this cycle tbh bc of the high number of As this early in the cycle, and how many people have mtp As due to attending all their IIs since they're virtual. when i went to the coffee chat, they told us 650, and someone else on this chat said they had said 800 as well? So either way I think it is def more than 600!

LOL i love that! When i attended the coffee chat they always dodged my questions about the WL

Based on interview tracker and the fact the wayne doesn't do post-II R's (with rare exception).
Edit: prolly not 1k+, but very close to 1k.

Based on the data on this doc, Wayne accepted around 560 applicants altogether including people who got off the waitlist:

I think it’s interesting since Wayne interviewed about 400 more people this cycle (compared to the number of interviews on the doc) 🤔🤔... but yea, I’d consider your assumption more realistic than mine

They said they would interview more people this year because they expect a larger movement due to interviews being virtual. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more acceptances this cycle; it all depends on the movement.
