for those of you that had your interviews, when did you receive an email with more information regarding the interview and the link to it? i have mine 1/28th but haven't received anything yet

You should receive the information one week before your interview.
 
how long does it usually take for decisions? 4 weeks?

I interviewed 1/7. I feel like I remember the woman saying we could hear back in 2-3 weeks but im not sure.

I received my decision 3 weeks after my interview.
 
Is signing the acceptance letter binding? It says that it is a legally binding document, but what if something changes down the road and we decide to go to another school?

you can renege at any time before the Commit to Enroll. But I think the deposit, if they have one, is non-refundable.

The paperwork does say the deposit is refundable before a certain date! I don’t remember the exact day though

just to let yall know. all my friends from that school heard back anywhere from feb to april (and they interviewed form oct till now). theres no pattern. my friend who did oct ii got a call back in april, another one who did ii in nov heard back feb

That is really good to hear! I guess I'm just paranoid about the ghosting post ii based on previous threads and so I convinced myself I was definitely rejected because I have yet to hear after my mid-dec interview while others have. And this is after your friends heard nothing back post interview, not even a waitlist status?

they said if you get rejected you will hear back. its only that grey area where you should be hopeful cause like i know 10 people from there and they all heard back various points even tho they interviewed at various points

You think not hearing anything back since getting secondary received email in August is an R?

Good question and I understand why you would ask. Anecdotally I have friends who applied and received a secondary who were never asked to interview. But keep in mind it's still only January and based on my admissions ambassador schedule our last interview date is mid-April and we'll be interviewing consistently up until then. I would encourage you not to look at the silence as an R until it's much later in the cycle and you still haven't heard back. I have classmates whose inboxes were silent the whole year only to be interviewed and excepted in the 11th hour. I know the silence is the absolute worst but try your best to not lose hope and stay positive!

Hi, I was interviewed back in October, was one of the first batches of interviewees. Waitlisted in late November. Thought for sure since I got early II that I'd have a good shot at an A :/ Interview went rlly well too. Debating on whether or not I should prepare for reapp rn.

Do you think early WL helps increases chances of getting accepted off waitlist? Would you happen to know if most people eventually get pulled off or not? Had a friend with similar stats and background as me apply last yr, WL'd then got A off WL so I'm remaining hopeful..

Info, low stat but lots of research, good amount clinical, a ton of non-clinical, good story, URM, super low SES, not IE.

Hi there! So generally speaking being waitlisted is a good sign regardless of when in the cycle you were waitlisted. Just like with any med school its applicants with multiple acceptances can only commit to one school, this creates movement on the waitlist which is how many of my classmates (myself included) were accepted. The only drawback is that waitlist movement won't begin until the end of April at the earliest, meaning you'll go quite a while before hearing back if you're taken off the list. So I would say if you have multiple acceptances and you're content with your options (MD or DO) then it's probably unnecessary to put the time and money into reapplying 🙂 but only you can answer that question! Of course I'm happy to help! I was in your shoes only a year ago so I definitely understand how crazy this process can be.

Waitlist movement at CUSM is I'd say above average based off the reasoning I gave in the previous comment, but please understand that while movement is good overall this of course doesn't mean every applicant who is waitlisted is guaranteed a late A. I can only speak from my experience and the experiences of my fellow classmates. The goal is to be hopeful and remain positive despite the long months of silence and occasional R, which in my experience were many lol! Keep your head up and stay positive and remember that everything will work out in the end!

interviewed 1/7 and I received an A yesterday!! 🙏 I was so surprised at the turnaround speed bc my interviewer told me the earliest I'd hear back is mid-feb !

Ahhhh congrats!! I remember the woman saying some people could hear back sooner so congrats, you probably had an amazing interview and application!

Right lol. the woman kept telling us to breathe cause we were so nervous!

Did they call you for the A?

dont think so. I think I remember the woman saying that some of us would hear back as early as 2-3 weeks but for those that didnt, we could hear back at a later date. I think they operate like Mizzou, where the highest rated candidates from each group get the As, and then everyone else is considered on a rolling basis

I interview on Friday, just got an email about a neo assessment. Does anybody who went through the interview process have any information on this?

It evaluates your personality and modes of thought. It will be used as part of your application, and it was mentioned that the assessment is also used to sort students into groups (colleges) for their preclinical years.
 
My anxiety is through the roof. I know I've been asking every week, but has anyone that interviewed 01/07 and after heard anything today?

I know today was an interview day, so wasn't sure if the committee just doesn't meet on interview days to discuss interviewed applicants.
 
I think one person got an acceptance from 1/7. I think it’s a few posts up.

I interviewed then too but it’s silence here.

I have to say @JustJackie, I really love your engagement in all the school pages and providing other applicants comfort through this long journey we are all in together. You're gonna be a great doc!

I remember one person posted getting an A last week, but I've been sitting here today sweating bullets wondering if would hear back today. LOL.

Will this school email me before my interview? Or is there somewhere I can find the interview date? I can't seem to find out when my interview is - I scheduled it in November

Still nothing for me. It looks like As tend to come out on Fridays, with WL emails following on Monday or Tuesday. Unsure if there’s IIs this Friday, but I anticipated we probably wouldn’t hear back last week because it was an interview day then. Hoping maybe this Friday? 🥴
 
does anyone here know, maybe @jboi2343, how the personality assessment will be used as a factor in our application? are they looking for something in particular, or is it just to know more about us? i guess i’m just a little anxious about what it’s used for, because they made it seem as if it was primarily to assign us to colleges but it’s also a factor in the app.

They told me during the interview that it was not used to make any admission decision. According to them, they only use it to place you into groups (colleges) once enrolled. Hope that helps!
