I'm bored of waiting.
Do you mind me asking how you're planning to study for a retake? I don't have access to my online Princeton Review resources anymore and it would cost $1550 if I wanted to do a self study course with renewed access. I still have the books. There has to be a cheaper way, right? I don't want to spend this money and end up getting an A for this school anyway. I'm not sure how to go about this. Any advice from anyone would be much appreciated.i’m in the exact same position as you! i interviewed early october, waitlisted 11/16. probably going to start studying for an mcat retake just in case
everyone had their cameras on. i don’t think it was required, per se, but i did not see anyone with the camera off.For anyone who interviewed before, did you have to turn your camera on for the virtual Q and A session the day before your interview?
You have the textbooks with all the materials they would teach you in a $1500-$3000 course. Do some significant self study with those textbooks and only spend money on getting the AAMC practice tests and questions sets, maybe even the CARS packets that they offer as well. I'd do the same if I were in your shoes, however my shoes are traumatized from that horrendous exam lolDo you mind me asking how you're planning to study for a retake? According to last year's thread, a waitlist was better than silence after the interview. For some reason they decided to ghost any and all interviewees until the massive wave of rejections at the same time.Is receiving an official waitlist email better than receiving no email at all? Trying to see what the general consensus is here.
Has anyone from January or February interviews received any waitlist notifications? I feel like minus a few As, no one has reported being placed on the waitlist since December.According to last year's thread, a waitlist was better than silence after the interview. I remember looking through previous years SDN pages and somebody did some math and said they guessed about 40ish%? Nobody really knows the exact post II acceptance rate thoughtAnyone know this school's post II acceptance %?
I can, unfortunately, confirm this. Last year, I interviewed and then was ghosted until the end of the cycle with an R. Unfortunately, they did the same thing to me this year. Interviewed in October and haven't heard back yet... 🙁 So, I definitely agree, hearing back with a waitlist decision is better than post-II silence.According to last year's thread, a waitlist was better than silence after the interview. It's just a theory, but I'm guessing they do this so they can see how things unfold in the next few weeks with the AAMC trafficking rules. They don't want to tell us "no," in the event they have under-enrollment from the currently accepted folks and risk having no students left to accept, but then it just doesn't make sense why they don't just form a robust waitlist. It really puts students in a difficult position of: A.) I don't know if I need to prep for a second cycle, B.) I am already accepted to another school and holding that spot even though I rather come here, or C.) unnecessary stress period.I can, unfortunately, confirm this. this point of the cycle feels like game 7 of the nba finals except im losing like crazyIt's just a theory, but I'm guessing they do this so they can see how things unfold in the next few weeks with the AAMC trafficking rules. I know they had the second highest STEP 2 score last year in cali, only behind Stanford. I think if you’re a self starter and are willing to do research in other schools and make connections, you should be fine. Def need some more work to match into something competitive compared to more established schools in my opinion. Is anyone concerned about how well CUSM will perform in matching?
Where can you find this info about the second highest step?I know they had the second highest STEP 2 score last year in cali, only behind Stanford. yeah that’s exactly what I’m feeling. Hopefully they roll them out as this week goesi think what makes me extremely nervous is the possibility that we could be in the dark for months … yet they told us that we’d hear back within a definite timeframe. and we’ve already seen many applicants from this current cycle who have been ghosted.

I'm not sure if anyone reported receiving A after the given timeframe, it seems either an A or silent R at this point.i think what makes me extremely nervous is the possibility that we could be in the dark for months … yet they told us that we’d hear back within a definite timeframe. and we’ve already seen many applicants from this current cycle who have been ghosted.
