That’s awesome! What kinds of health policy questions? Were they pointed, or more about your opinions/vision for the future? It was really chill. I had a PhD as my interviewer and he just asked me questions about health policy and about my research. Very reaffirming during the interview that I was doing well!
from stalking last year's tread I did see one comment about a panel for accepted URM students - do you guys happen to be URM?Did anyone else get this email titled "Invitation to GUSOM Student Panel"? I interviewed a few weeks ago and am wondering if this is a good sign that they will accept me soon. Or maybe I am completely overthinking this email haha.
It was more like what's your view on the current state of healthcare for underserved populations, nothing too extensive though. That’s awesome! What kinds of health policy questions? Were they pointed, or more about your opinions/vision for the future?
Ahhh thank you so much, I actually really appreciate your response! I'm really interested in policy but got nervous about knowing super finite detailsIt was more like what's your view on the current state of healthcare for underserved populations, nothing too extensive though.

I interviewed late October and yes I'm URM! Not sure if it's just a courtesy thing or what it means but fingers crossed 😂from stalking last year's tread I did see one comment about a panel for accepted URM students - do you guys happen to be URM?
Yes, I am URM and it is for URM students. Hopefully it is for accepted students!from stalking last year's tread I did see one comment about a panel for accepted URM students - do you guys happen to be URM?
My interviewer was an MD who actually oversaw clinicals, and it was chill! She asked me more about my ECs, my mission, and also word for word some of the questions people listed on the Georgetown SDN Interview page. She also talked to me about the programs she envisioned me participating in and asked about that. Very conversational 🙂Does anyone have some feedback as to how their interview went?

Did they call you and also send a follow-up email/update on the portal? I am planning to be out of the country for about 10 days around Thanksgiving time, and I was worried they might call me while I'm away.Got the call and was accepted!! Interviewed 09/28

I thought my interview went pretty well, it was very conversational, my interviewer was a fourth year medical student and we are both from Brooklyn, NY. She said my interview was great, and I sent an update letter, but I guess my app didn’t blow them away :/ fingers crossed for the rest of this cycle and I wish y’all the best of luck!!How did you feel your interview went? Hope you’re doing well friend
There’s still hope! Im sorry to hear this, this definitely makes me feel a bit nervous too. I felt the interview went well but there’s no way to predict what their decision may beI thought my interview went pretty well, it was very conversational, my interviewer was a fourth year medical student and we are both from Brooklyn, NY. This!!!Should you be sending update letters before your post II decision is released? On one hand, it shows continued interest, on the other hand, what update will I then have to provide if I get waitlisted?

!!! what are people’s thoughts on this?Should you be sending update letters before your post II decision is released? On one hand, it shows continued interest, on the other hand, what update will I then have to provide if I get waitlisted?
I think that it can be super worth it to send them a post-II/pre-decision letter in two cases. (1) You have a meaningful update that you want to share. (2) You are sure that Georgetown is your top choice and want to express that in a letter of intent/update letterShould you be sending update letters before your post II decision is released? On one hand, it shows continued interest, on the other hand, what update will I then have to provide if I get waitlisted?
9/23 and still waiting...Anyone that interviewed on 9/30 hear back yet?
Same here... 😅9/23 and still waiting...
PrayingAny A/WL/R's (hopefully no R's 😉) for the late Sept early Oct interviewers??
From what I've seen, it seems to be around 8 weeks. The late Sept/early Oct interviewers have not heard back yet so they're at the ~9 week mark right now. I agree with everyone that the 10-12 week wait seems soooo long! Fingers crossed for some news soon for everyone 🤞Question for people who have already interviewed and received decisions - did the 10-12 week decision timeline the school gave hold true?
