2021-2022 Vermont

I'm trying to figure out whether Vermont will accept my high school IB/international baccalaureate chemistry credit as one of my general chemistry credits, could anyone help? I found this on UVM's website:
High school advanced placement courses will be accepted only if credit appears on the college transcript and the AMCAS transcript portion of the application.

This is what appears on my verified AMCAS transcript:

I'm concerned that because AMCAS didn't translate it into "semester hours" it may not count? But it does appear on my AMCAS transcript, so I'm hoping it's ok?

I think that usually as long as it is on the transcript it is fine.
 
Two questions:

1) Is it too late to submit a primary to UVM (MD only)?
2) Is it worth it to apply here as a 52X applicant with a first quartile CASPer?

if you listen to the case western all access podcast, they talk about how they look at things like grades/MCAT and casper. essentially they're weighted equally if I remember correctly, so this may be a more heavily CASPer place. then again, I have a 4th quartile and still have heard nothing from them so *shrug* I don't think anyone knows anything about how to get in anywhere

LOL So an MCAT >their 90th % and a CASPer < their 10th % might put me at their median? Aight, that is worth a shot.

What about timing? Is right now too late?
(33/40 of my primaries have been MD/PhD so I am not in tune with MD only timing right now)

a little on the late side but probably still worth a shot, doesn't seem like they have given out a ton of II's
 
For those of us who interviewed already, did they give us a date for when we would be hearing back? Do they normally do oct 15?
 
Does anyone know if UVM accepts letters of interest pre-interview? I was advised to send some out to my top schools if I hadn’t heard anything 2 months after submission....
 
I know you can't speak to specifics, but does anyone have any insight into the teamwork activity?
In terms of stress level, number of people, trying not to talk over each other on Zoom, etc.?

I think my biggest worries about MMI interviews are the sections I feel like I can't prepare for. I'm ok with talking through ethical dilemmas, but the role playing scenarios and teamwork scenarios are intimidating (especially considering the teamwork situation is an hour long).

Depends on your team, of course, but I found it very low stress. I’m an anxious person so I was kinda scared for it too but everyone there is very nice. It’s gonna be fine 🙂

The teamwork portion was my favorite part of the interview day!! Granted my team was awesome, but I’m sure yours will be too! It felt like any group work activity I’ve done in Zoom school, sometimes you talk over each other but you work it out p easily
 
Since it looks like they send out IIs once a month, has anyone gotten one yet for October?
 
Hi, does anyone who got an interview invite with bottom Casper score? I am generally a very people person and I feel I hold a conversation well.....Don't konw what happen on my Casper, felt my typing speed may play a role in it....
 
While we can’t share much, I just had my interview and I will say it is very low stress and requires minimal preparation, so if ur nervous try not to worry!

While I agree with previous posters that this interview was low stress and the interviewers were friendly, I honestly found this interview to be more draining and less enjoyable than my others. It’s very possible that this is bc it was my first MMI but I just wanted to share my honest perspective. It’s impossible to judge how you did so who knows! It was low stress but still tough for me personally.

This is true! Personally, the open/close file interviews really stress me out and make me nervous so I guess I preferred the MMI a lot more over traditional. I guess it is just personal preference!
 
Also just had my interview day experience. Even though it was an MMI, I felt like it was very conversational instead of me just talking. Agree with the above posters saying its mostly low stress!
 
I interviewed today too! I was anxious about the MMI but it turned out to be much less. stressful than anticipated. The group teamwork activity was fun too. All in all, I wouldn't stress too much if you have an upcoming interview. Just be able to pull from your experiences and you should do fine.

Did you all send thank you notes to the admissions email? I know we can’t really send emails to our MMI interviewers but I’m wondering if it’s worth sending a general email to the admissions team.

I just sent a thank you email to the admissions email this morning.
 
For those who interviewed yesterday, did Admissions send you a campus preference form yet? I know we decide after the interview, but I do not think they discussed exactly when.

Hi!! I interviewed in early September but my forms went to Spam so be sure to check there. I received these forms in my spam mid interview. Congrats!
