Yes i believe the sushi squad started on page 27 of this years thread lol, i hope we all get to act on it in july! Side note: i tried sushi for the first time last week and I have for sure been MISSING OUT im definitely a fangirl now 😂😍
same had a meltdown earlier today
thank you!!
Yeah - most people that interviewed in 2022 were waitlisted. good news though - aamc data suggests a few hundred As are given out to WL applicants (roughly half the waitlist). so the odds are pretty good compared to most other WL situations.
I don’t want to sound untrusting, but can you point me in the direction of your source for this. It sounds too good to be true and I don’t want to get my hopes up (WL’d in late Feb)
All good.
I don't think they are following any trends because I thought there was typically movement in early March... which didn't appear to happen.
they’ve already accepted 200 people over the class size so I think there was waitlist movement just not all at once
That's tough to hear. Damn. Any idea of how much more waitlist movement is left?
They’ve accepted 509 according to their tracker I think people earlier said they accept about 700, I’m assuming they got that information of MSAR but I don’t have that so I cant confirm
Update: no email back. Probably shouldn’t expect one lol. I guess inquiring about the committee is forbidden
Last year it was like 700-800 accepted. Not really feeling like looking back at the old thread lol
In their open house back in November they said they aimed to have around 700, I believe.
I'm so sorry! I hope you have good luck else where in your cycle. If you don't want to answer this I totally get it, but would you mind sharing general stats and when you interviewed?
I’m so sorry to hear that, best of luck with the rest of the cycle, did you find out just now?
On Tuesday
LM 76/Canadian/Feb Interview
Been saying this every day for the last month
pain :’)
You are not alone. In a similar situation with a couple of WLs. I'm a reapplicant so I've been waiting to experience that first A for what seems like forever.
I only got one II from Wayne super late in February and now on the WL, so I feel your pain
Yes im also hoping for the best! This is my second cycle applying and I only applied to around 8 schools this cycle as a last ditch effort since I was late due to personal reasons (retook MCAT, very close family member died of COVID, started a masters program in a completely new state, etc), but the wait is honestly so hard bc the WL gives me hope but idk how much hope to have :/
Similar situation. I applied to 11 schools and Wayne was the only one that interviewed me. This truly is my last option. But all it takes is one, so let’s hope for the best!
This will make us good and empathetic physicians one day
Nope I’ve looked there too and checked the mail bc they mentioned something will be sent in the mail as well. I think they may be behind on financial aid and taking people off of the WL
Thanks, that makes sense. I'll be sure to check the mail too.
Just gotta manifest that positive energy! Hopefully we can all meet after this and have a good laugh about it.
I'm sure they didn't, but they are certainly taking their time. This could be seen as a good thing, but still waiting is tough.
every day is pain
Is second look for accepted students?
When is trafficking day. Is that May 1 (when everyone who has acceptances narrows/picks)?
