Based on last year's thread, I think it should be another month or so before we see any rejections.

LOL are you me! I interviewed pretttty early two cycles ago. They actually sent me an II after ~2-3 weeks I submitted. Sigh.... wishing for the best!

Being hold is not considered bad for GW! Every school treats holds differently, but GWU hold really just means a hold.

They mentioned the first offers would go out sometime the week of Oct. 17th. They didn't say much about rejections or wait list offers though... I don't know the protocol for offers after the Oct. 17th date has been reached though.

Does anyone who has interviewed have any advice??

So this interview was truly blind; he only knew my name. Mine ended up being 32 mins long with an assoc. dean of admissions. There was a lot of traditional interview questions asking "tell me about a time...". They also asked a lot of questions surrounding "why now?" since I am a non-trad. It felt like question after question with minimal follow ups - just on to the next one. This was the interview I have had so far where I honestly don't know how it went - amazing or poorly. My interviewer was very hard to read.

I think usually massively after new year's. No news is good news. I was on pre-II hold before i got the II

Complete: Late August (was actually not in my original med school list, hence the late completion)
Hold: don't remember exactly when or how long
Invited: Early November

After interviewing, I submitted a thank you/letter of intent (would enroll if accepted). Then later on they requested one stating that you wanted to remain on the list. And thats about it.

waitlist movement starts after mid april which is when commit to enroll everywhere starts (i think)

Check your portal. If you are on hold then it will only show up in portal. If invited for interview directly, it will show up in portal first followed by an email!

if you look at threads from previous years, a lot of applicants put on hold later received an II, I don’t think it’s a soft R at this school

Not a soft R. I think this is one of the few schools that actually communicates with applicants throughout the process on the status of their app. They are just letting you know that your app has been reviewed and to keep on being patient. It could go either way.

i have a theory that they put you on hold automatically 30 days after ur completion date based on a lot of peoples completion/hold dates lol
