It’s fine. I sent a letter of interest/update after my interview and it was all one paragraph. Got accepted. They are not going to care you can’t fix it.

I tried to convey my interest very directly as well as give some updates from my work and volunteer opportunities! Everything shy of declaring it an outright letter of intent.

I assume the decision to WL me was made well before I sent that update, but it did feel kinda awkward.
