2022-2023 Indiana

I have a graduate degree from IUSM, and boy do I love receiving the donation collection letters from the Alumni association in my mail ('tis the season of giving, am I right?) They are marked from IUSM and my heart wants to jump out of my chest every time I receive one. Just send me my A already.
 
Idk how much this will apply to everyone but I have a permanent address (parents' house) and a primary address (my apartment) listed in AMCAS. Other schools have been using my primary address no problem but IU sent my A yesterday to my permanent address. I didn't sign up for informed delivery but if I did it would have been to the wrong address anyway. Sorry if this causes increased neuroticism for y'all.

When you filled out the graduate application for IU, did you put your apartment or your permanent address?
 
Do we have to complete the technical standards before we decide to commit/matriculate? I just got a email about that I haven't completed it, but I thought we only have to do that once we plan to matriculate. I am confused.

I wouldn't call it until we hit 12/23 and the portals are for sure updated for the month.

Also--It seems like the only acceptances given out so far for this month's batch have been OOS, which is curious. Small sample size obviously, but just interesting. Maybe those went out first, who knows.

I was thinking the same thing. Has anyone IS received an A this month?

I've been checking the Ring camera every 5 minutes to see if the mailman came lol... This is such an annoying process

🙁 I guess it's safe to assume that I won't get an acceptance this month since others have already posted acceptances from emails...
 
I would probably wait until the portal updates. I’m over here losing my mind waiting as well so I understand where you’re at. Something odd is definitely going on with acceptances this month, but the portal update will remove all the ambiguity. I know it’s hard though, the emotional exhaustion is more real than ever.

The exhaustion is the worst part of it all. It kind of makes the AAMC communication system look good in comparison.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they only did a relatively smaller batch of OOS applicants this month because they probably have specific defined things they’re looking for in acceptees. I want to say that the OOS acceptances this month were very high stat applicants but idk for sure (obviously). Whereas for normal stat OOS and the whole IS pool there’s a lot more leeway and room for discussion. And it would have been during an already-busy time of year for faculty.

That’s just my 2c, by god would I love nothing more than to be proved wrong tmrw

Anyone know when they go on vacation? I would imagine no more emails would be sent while admin office is out for the holidays...but yeah reapplicant here, interviewed on 11/02. Been here before and this part sucks
