Lol still haven't heard back about results....... I interviewed on 9/13. Feeling like its the sign of a soft hold or soft rejection. Guess we'll find out in March......

I just searched the forum from last year and it seemed 4 people on that thread got As in April after being ghosted from October/November. I guess there is still a chance for us early interviewee ghostees.

Hi all,

My name is Cristo and I am an M2 at Kaiser Permanente SOM! I wanted to offer my time to answer any questions about the school / my application journey for anyone who is a DACA / TPS recipient or undocumented and interviewing at Kaiser. 🙂 I was undocumented and since 2016 have been a DACA recipient. After talking to some DACA applicants / interviewees to Kaiser, I wanted to continue paying it forward to our immigrant community.

Since I do have limited time with school and *parenthood* lol, I would love to limit my time, right now at least, to DACA / undocumented folks or even to those interviewing who are parents / expecting.

Best luck to all in their journey!! I'll try to check my DMs here bi-weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Does anyone know if Kaiser takes update letter, and if so, how should I go about doing it?

They don’t accept them, I tried emailing them and they said if you’re offered an II then you can send an update

OOS II this morning! Secondary submitted 9/20.

They only have one interview day available: this Friday (11/18). I'm supposed to go to Vegas from Thursday-Sunday for my best friend's birthday. Do you guys think I should cancel my trip or try to do the interview from a Vegas hotel room and pray they have good Wi-Fi?

Also, this is my first interview that has MMIs, which makes me very nervous. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to prepare?
Honestly, I would call the hotel and ask them if they are notorious for good or bad wifi. And as someone else said maybe try to get a hotspot on your phone if you can afford it? In addition, since hotel WiFi is often public, I would recommend getting a free trial for a VPN to secure your connection. My mom and a few other people I know have gotten a lot of info stolen from them by hackers via using a public wifi.

Does Kaiser encourage update letters post-interview? I interviewed in September and haven't heard anything since.
