Also received the email at 12:55 cst, though it does not contain a zoom link and the portal does not have a "web interview" tab. I left a voicemail too but seems like it's an error on their part. Will update if I hear back from the office of admissions.

Just got invited to the December 10th interview 😏 about to do my second interview with UT

Just got back from a run, saw an email from UTSW, and tried to keep calm since all these schools love making us jump the gun with excitement. Lo and behold, I am interviewing tomorrow, 12/3, lol. Received emails from McGovern, Dell, and UTSW today, and none of them were the news we all wanna hear, haha! Nothing I can do except laugh, stretch, and prepare for the overfeed I'm about to take part in!

So happy I didn’t get this fake interview email. UT Southwestern is still my number one choice and the only school I haven’t interviewed at. If I got this email it would’ve been a roller coaster of emotions.

Nah I’m pretty sure they accidentally sent an email to people with a certain last name or something like that. It really doesn’t mean anything.

It’s like the TMDSAS transcript request last year. Some people who got it matched and others didn’t match that got it. It was just a weird mistake

Does this school send post II Rs?

Not before match and most likely not even after until one is either auto rejected (anyone holding an admission as of May 15th in a Texas school and IS) or eventually rejected when the class is considered solid sometime in June.

There is a process where all accepted students must commit to enroll 3 weeks before orientation start date which is usually 1st week of August. So sometime around July 10th the accepted students commit to enroll or they get dropped and that is about the last time UTSW can actually still admit someone off the waitlist. In all likelihood, 95% or more students who interviewed at UTSW will have an admission in another Texas school and lose the waitlist on May 15th.

Same here haha. I suspect they were probably trying to change the status of a few people but instead selected a whole bunch of us and switched us all to "upcoming interview" or something.

i am just assuming based on:

1) this image posted earlier in the threads + this is on their site: "interviews take place from august through early january"
2) that fact that utsw is notorious for filling a significant portion of their class with pre-matches
3) last year's sdn thread does not show much II movement in jan (take that with a grain of salt - sdn has selection/reporting bias)
4) utsw is known for wrapping up interviews early, month or so prior to match.

i'm dallas born and raised, so not trying to get my hopes up (although being close to home again would be nice).
excuse my neuroticism, i think this fake ii distracted me from my prep for my other interviews, so a little over it.
