Does anyone know if we send update letters to the admissions email? They said they would be sending the PowerPoint at some point but I wanted to send my updates as soon as I could

Do they accept LOI or updates? Interviewed early November but got placed on hold

Just to clarify, will all Feb interviewees hear back on March 15?

Does anyone have any insight on whether VCU is still sending II? I know it's late in the cycle and some pre-II R's have been sent out but was not sure if those who haven't heard back are just waiting for a huge R wave soon

Reading into the hold email:

"We anticipate making acceptance offers on October 17, December 16, February 1, and March 15. Your profile will remain on hold until such time that you receive an offer of admission (on one of the above dates) or you are invited to be on the alternate list, which will be formulated in mid-March."

Looks like if you receive the hold email, the only two options they give you are that you will either be accepted or waitlisted. Think I'm safe from post-II R?

yeah you’re safe. Someone who got a post-II R earlier in the thread didn’t get the hold email

how long after the interview did you get this

I read the website and it says they’re receptive to it once you’ve interviewed but if you have interviewed then you’re strongly discouraged from sending any additional info!

Submitted early July, II mid December, Interview late January. OOS, LM75. Anxiously waiting for March 15!

Offer date is March 15 not March 1 as it says on the website/portal right?

Dooes anyone know if they send out rejection emails on those dates as well?

for those who were accepted, do you see VCU on the choose my medical school tool?

I am a little unclear on what the hold email means. Does it mean that we for sure will be waitlisted or accepted? Or is there still a possibility for rejection post II?
It just means they finished reviewing your application. You will hear back with either A, WL, or R on and after 3/15

This might have already been answered in the thread but I can't find a definite answer. Is it appropriate to send an update letter post interview if we have updates not included on our primary application? Have others uploaded it to the portal or did you email it directly to the admissions committee? I interviewed yesterday and want to send an update before review on Monday.

Or, did most people not send anything post interview (ie no thank you note or update)? Feel like there's some discrepancy as to what's advisable and what isn't.

Hi! I remember Dr. WHC said to send any updates to her if you have them. I did not send a thank you note or update letter and got the A.

Is it even worth it to send an update if I've already been ranked by the committee? My understanding is that they never re-review the applications.

Would it hurt in any way? Plus what if you get waitlisted and get re-reviewed from a waitlist? They may see it then and chances are that can only give them more info and better context. My two cents.

Would it be a bad idea to email Dr. WHC regarding my application status? It has been radio silence since August, and I am an IS applicant that did my undergrad there.

I believe it was mentioned earlier in this thread that interviews are unfortunately done being scheduled :/. At this point though, emailing them might be worth a shot.
