I think it might be a case that many MD schools are behind on waitlist movement, so there is a cascading effect on DO schools. I don't know why, but personally, everything seems slower or has been pushed back in this cycle.

They are expecting movement, it’s just been slow as of right now. I talked to an admissions assistant named Chrisa.

If it makes anyone feel a bit better, I am on more waitlists than I can handle right now, and NONE of them have shown any significant movement the past couple months. So it is not just this school that is slow/quiet.

I spoke with admissions today too, he said that they are just now starting to take students off of waitlist. He said to expect movement anywhere from now to July, but specifically he said we should see movement in the next month. He also said they won't prioritize sending emails of acceptance, but rather calls that you must respond to in the following 24 hours (they'll leave a voicemail). If you want to potentially help your chances of getting in, set up an admissions consultation- shows that you're still interested. I don't know how much it helps but couldn't hurt. The email I got about the tour didn’t mention any type of dress code but I think I’ll be wearing business casual to be safe. If anyone’s heard anything different I’d love to know!

Judging from last years thread, most of the A coming off the WL in May were more towards the end of the month and through June. Granted this was back when HPWL was a thing, so no clue how much that comes into play. I did hear their committees had met/were supposed to meet, but nothing has happened on SDN since then so who knows... could have been just for post-interview decision and not WL considerations. 😴
