Is the pre-interview orientation a formal, camera-on type of event?

They requested cameras be on. Idk if everyone wore a suit, but most dressed nice/wore a tie. Most also had the Rowan background picture on too, but my camera always blurs off half my face with it so I opted for not using it

I feel like it’s not just this school right now but MOST of the places I’ve interviewed at…

Not sure if this is the same each year around this time and they waiting for a ton of people to withdraw for more seats, but seeing some traction would be great for our mental well-being 😭

i called yesterday (i was 1/9) and they were super nice abt my concerns, and basically just told me my interviewer submitted my review almost 2 weeks post interview and the 3-4 week turnaround time starts from submission, not interview 🙁 prob the same for all of us that r stuck in limbo i would guess!

Out of curiosity, can you send the initials of your interviewer? If that is allowed. I just recently interviewed and wanted to know if I would be in the same boat, or perhaps I had a different interviewer. Thank you.

Anyone know if this differs from traditional WL spots, and what my chances are looking like?

How was your interview experience? I interviewed a few weeks ago and am wondering if they were interviewing me for a wait list spot or an actual spot. Did you apply SGL or PBL?

if this eases anxiety for anyone on the alternate list- I just called found out there is no HPWL this year. so everyone getting pulled will be from the same list. in my orientation session they had said there was an HPWL but it turns out there isn't and honestly that made me feel a lot better!

i applied sgl, but in my interview mentioned that i had become more interested in PBL after talking to current students about it which my interviewer seemed to wrtie down so not really sure what they had me under lol

Yeah I applied SGL and my interviewer was PBL faculty, but it didn’t really have an effect on my interview! I guess the only downside is if you wanted to ask SGL specific questions.

Interviewed like last week of January, got waitlisted like two weeks ago, got off waitlist last week. I think their class is close to full so they're prob giving offers only when people withdraw, which is prob why my waitlist date and acceptance date were so close together.

Funny story, I actually scheduled some new shadowing with a DO and was going to send a letter a couple days after I shadowed. But I got off the waitlist literally the next day after I shadowed so never ended up sending a letter.
