When you compare it to last years cycle track the total amount of accepted is pretty similar, so idk how many more waves they're going to have.

I noticed that also... Based on last year's SDN thread, it seems like they had a ?big? wave in late Jan and then very small waves later on. It's hard to know what really is going on. I think they have their monthly virtual chat tomorrow, so hopefully they give additional insight on their current status regarding acceptances.

I got an invite email on the week of completing my interview to RSVP and then a zoom link the day of the session.

Also got this and was very confused lol even did a double check on the spreadsheet to see if i had signed up on accident. Still havent heard back from a september interview

I got it too and I did it in September. I emailed them about it I think they must have just sent it out to the wrong email group and I'm sure they'll send out a correction in a bit. For those who are signed up for today though keep us updated with what they say ab admissions timelines

Writing assignment was very chill, imo. Not a 'why us.'

You get a prompt, you have a few hours to submit it. It's something like a couple hundred words, nothing to really fret about unless you really really struggle with writing. I would estimate it took me about 15-20 min

There are barely any A’s on cycle track, on here, and in the group me (according to people on here) so I’m hoping that’s not the case

Guys keep in mind, only a small % of people actually report their As on SDN & Cycletrack. For example, I’ve never been on Cycletrack ever. People also don’t want to join the GroupMe & those other stuff.

There is typically important info on the official Groupme though. For reference, SUNY Upstate has 79 members in the official Groupme so I find it hard for such a huge discrepancy between the two SUNY schools in level of engagement.

This does seem a bit odd. Especially if you factor in that Upstate's class size is about 175, and Downstate's about 207 (according to MSAR)

Exactly. Buffalo has 64 members in theirs as well

what r the odds every interviewee from November- April r only just straight post ii WLs and Rs. Everyone who heard back r mostly Aug- Oct with I think one person here from Nov

They don’t look at primaries/secondaries in the order that they were submitted so maybe they’re waiting to finish interviewing everyone before they accept or deny people (aside from those who have gotten A’s already). This is pure speculation! Albany Medical College does something like that.

I feel like maybe there aren’t as many As reported or people in the GroupMe because downstate is a back up school for a lot of interviewees, especially those from prestigious NYC schools. And downstate knows this as well, which is why they wait until the PTE / CTE deadlines, and instead of doing waves, they trickle out acceptances. Just a guess tho.
