Non-Haider applicant, IS with heavy IE ties, and veteran. Wild to me bro… they never specified how many seats, just how they are not filled. Good luck to guys, that’s all this process is, luck.
it really is.

rejected! i submitted an update letter yesterday, but my fate was probably already decided last week lmao

Hey guys, just asked for an update and the admissions replied March interview spots are still not filled. Hopefully that is some hope for us waiting
They really wanted to watch us burn in here after giving us a glimmer of hope

According to cycle track, 24+ got rejected today? Thats large compared to their previous 2 years. It looks like they did a mass rejection today. Last year 3 of their largest rejection waves don’t even sum to 24. This must’ve been the big kahuna. Whats odd is they usually have always done their mass rejections at the end of March/early April not the beginning of March. Not sure what’s off about this cycle. They must have not been playing games this year about their “intentional mission fit plan”. Or maybe they accepted so many ppl that they didnt even want to consider the excess.

Has anyone else been completely ghosted since being marked complete? No R yet and I never got an “under consideration” email

Thats what I was thinking. This R wave is unprecedented. The chart on cycletrack is crazy.

what is their “intentional mission fit plan” ?

Any chance they are still sending out IIs, I never got the under consideration email, but also haven't gotten rejected yet. I wonder in what order they are sending out pre II Rs

lol you guys have to keep in mind not every haider is on SDN. It does suck that a lot of deserving applicants weren’t considered though.

rejected yesterday, pre-II - with v strong IE ties, a whole IE story in my PS and my activities. LOL good bye to the hot parking lot school I guess

im a ucr undergrad, met MANY haiders who didnt get II
What sucks about that whole haider initiative is they are backed up with it. There are haiders who graduated in 2020 who are just now getting a spot. They only get to reserve 25 spots for certain. That can’t even cover 1 years worth of pre meds that graduate from ucr 💀. It’s a cool initiative, but in reality it’s damn near just as competitive as the regular applicant pool.

Each year 250-300 UCR students or grads apply through AMCAS for med schools. So only 10% can can get the haider A.
