bump on this, if anyone knowsWhat is the Kira talent interview like? Should you prepare for more traditional interview questions, or is it mostly ethical scenarios? How long do you have to answer each prompt?
IIRC it was discussed earlier in the thread. It's basic Casper-style stuff; been a while since I did it but it's the typical 2-minutes-to-think followed by 5-minutes-to-respond (those numbers aren't exact, but should be directionally accurate).bump on this, if anyone knows
For me personally, the open-file interview was 45 min and in the morning, the closed-file was 30 min and in the afternoon. Good luck with your interviews, you will kill it!Is the 30 minute interview closed file and the 45 minute interview open file? The 30 min is with someone on admissions so I'm a bit confused by this
Can't recall specifically, but in general for most schools you'll know sometime in the 48 hours beforehand. You might get a general timeframe for the day as a whole, but for multiple schools I've gotten specific interview times either the morning of, or the day before. How many days before the interview did most people receive their interview times? I'm scheduled for this coming Wednesday and have yet to receive any word.
V conversational, personally. A little structure, in the most basic sense. But one of the more conversational interviews I've had.for those who have already interviewed, how did it go? was it mostly conversational or more structured?

Could have come down to my specific interviewers, but definitely felt more relaxed and conversational than the majority of interviews.
How research-focused were your interviews?
Awesome! Was Kira talent the same for you? CASPer like?another n=1 but my interviews were v chill and conversational both for open and closed file, just questions about my activities here and there and anecdotes from them and what I learned. just typical interview.
overall interviewers were chill as well

lmao how bad is it if I got cut off before finishing a sentence on kira interview...I know CASPer says this doesn't matter and they care about your thought process more but haven't heard anything about kira
Anyone planning to do the Kira talent interview the same day as the live interviews? Hopefully that's okay..
My interview was Oct 3 and my interview times were emailed to me on Oct 1 at 5:45pm. Hope this helps! How many days before the interview did most people receive their interview times? I'm scheduled for this coming Wednesday and have yet to receive any word.

Interested in this as well. I hated Casper and preview. How important is the Kira Talent portion of the interview? The entire Kira Talent experience felt quite unnatural, and my answers reflected that.
I want youif i submitted mid-July and havenāt heard anything, should I just assume they donāt want me š

Hey! No need to stress about packing a suit and tie for the WashU Wednesday Zoom callāitās usually pretty casual. A nice shirt or something business casual should be just fine. If you want to dress it up a bit, go for it, but youāll be good without the formal wearSemi-urgent question: Leaving for a trip tomorrow for a research project and need to know if I need to pack a suit and tie. Is the washu Wednesday zoom call formal or informal dress?
Casual - under āour expectationsā The Interview: What to Expect - Medical Student Admissions.

I don't remember getting asked this, did your specific interviewer reach out?If they ask me to give some hobbies before my interview should I list them out or write full sentences?
Formal. A good 80% of the applicants showed up in a suit, while another 20% showed up in business causal. What's the dress code for the meet the dean session?

You will find the zoom link under the interview tab on the secondary application portal. Its a 30-minute zoom session where the dean of admissions talks about the curriculum and the medical school. A quick Q&A at the end, but we only had time for 3-4 questions with around 40 applicants in attendance.Wait... when is the meet the dean's session?
