for those who have already interviewed, what was the timing of your guys' MMI? i saw it was 2min prep and 8 min to give a response, but do they have any other time restrictions, like initial response needs to be within X minutes, and did they cut you off? thank you!

If I remember correctly the two min is just you and the prompt. And then after the two min you’ll join the meeting with the interviewer, they’ll say hi and ask if you were able to see the question and then they prompt you to begin. Theres no exact length your answer should be or is required to be, but I try to aim between 3-5 min so that way they can respond and ask follow ups. From my experience if we talk enough about the question, they have no more follow up questions, and there’s still time left, they’ll just turn their camera off.

yea, short Q&A with one of the adcom ppl at the beginning of the day

also, were we supposed to upload any documents to our portal? the ii invite email said we would get more info about "documents you’ll need to complete and upload to the application portal," but i don't think we've got further elaboration on that yet...

They should send an email after your interview day with information and it has the date of when you will hear back

Do it on paper if you absolutely need to- they will only want you to have one browser window open while you are in the interview

Current PRIME Student confirmed there's only one interview no matter which program you applied to. So you have to interview and then you get accepted to ucsd and then from there you will hear back from prime but first it’s ucsd acceptance and interview and then prime is just based on your application and all

Aww thank you! I just feel less confident with getting this interview since the selection was MCAT blinded. I also saw on MSAR that their range for MCAT is quite narrow

This mindset is what’s going to get you waitlisted, not your mcat score.

Believe in yourself and speak confidently. Why would a school interview someone they have no interest in offering a spot to?

Keep in mind the staircase analogy, though. If you do get waitlisted even with a great interview, don’t take it personally. If that’s the outcome, the reason could be a number of things. All out of your own power. Same goes for your mcat score. But what is in your own power is to practice interview q’s and trust in your prep. Good luck
