Have any MSTP applicants received the primary received email? Just trying to figure out whether this was an MD-only message, or if I should be panicking about being screened out

Verified a bit later (7/22) but also haven't received anything

verified 7/3 and i received the email as an MSTP only applicant, but it has no mention of the MSTP (only mentions MD and links to MD only admissions site), not sure why it wouldn’t be received by some and not others because the screening seems to happen after this email

+oos primary received today, was so worried lol

has anyone received the secondary application itself, not the application received notification? can you please drop the questions if so? 🙂

+1 OOS primary received (finally lol)

app received IS. For anyone interested, I found this excerpt in their email: "After our initial processing of your application, you will receive another email from us within 21 days... [it] will either invite you to complete a supplemental/secondary application with UCSF or inform you if you were not selected to move forward."

Perhaps they delayed sending this email out because they needed some more time for screening!

This message doesn't "exactly" match with their other message that screening for a secondary can take 4 to 12 weeks.
In any case, it's wise to go about your business with all your other tasks of this application cycle and treat an email from UCSF to write the secondary essays as a pleasant surprise if you get it.

+1 OOS application received email (AMCAS primary submitted 5/28, verified 6/10)

Anyone still not get the primary received - actually getting kinda worried lol

Got a secondary pretty early last cycle, and thought I only improved my app :/

they're sending out the email in waves you will get it!

+1 OOS app received email just now. Verified 6/3. mstp applicant. i'm sure they just have a lot of these emails to send, the email also makes it sound like there would be an additional email afterwards if you were not invited to complete a secondary, so i truly wouldn't stress too much about this first email, it will come!

For people saying just now, do you mean like literally just getting it? Also was everyone verified early?

Yes, I just got mine 5 min ago. I work from home, so unfortunately have the ability to neurotically refresh my e-mail all day 🫠

I was verified around 06/03 or 06/4, don't exactly remember

breh app recieved
i got this too- i got an email saying they received my application and will receive another email within 3 weeks inviting me to complete secondary or telling me they screened me out. is this what other people got, or did people actually get a secondary invite?

+1 Received lol 2mins ago - neurotic vibes only

Nevermind, just received the same MD-directed email as @purrkinje. Looks like they're taking their time sending them out to applicants.

I haven't gotten anything. Hoping I wasn't screened out 🙁
I just got mine this morning, OOS. They say in the message that this should be sent to everyone who submitted a primary, and that the next message the send (within 21 days is the timeline they provided) will "either invite you to complete a supplemental/secondary application with UCSF or inform you if you were not selected to move forward in our process."

I'm sure you'll get one, just gotta hang in there!

Does receiving the "primary app received" email mean that you made it through screening?

no. They will send another that will either be an interview invite or state you are no longer being considered
