just got the email, im ranked 3-4 now! (was originally in the 30s) congrats to everyone who moved up!
did anyone who was originally in a tied position ahead of me end up not getting a call? just wondering if the position really goes to one or the other or if both end up getting it if they move past it
my assumption is since the wording in the email is “we will activate our internal process to determine who the offer goes to first“ person 3 would receive it first followed by person 4. the whole tied position situation is very interesting to me haha

i feel you! i assume all would get an offer if (available) and they just have to go over both applicants again to determine who gets the offer first.

Started in the 80s, now in the 50s. Trying not to get my hopes up knowing that it’s very unlikely I’ll make it off of the waitlist lol

Seems highly unlikely it would drop that low
of a number compared to previous years. Based on previous data they gave out offers multiple weeks

Since some schools have a CTE deadline of 5/30 or mid june, I could assume there would be more movement around then as people get off waitlists for other schools

Not to feed the rumor mill or anything but to maybe give some peace of mind, they did say at the admitted students day on Saturday that Dr Harrison (Dean of Admissions) is on a short leave rn and will be back sometime this week so some decisions are on pause at the moment. It was in response to a question about when people off the WL will hear about clinical campus cohort placement decisions, but I imagine she would also have the final say on WL movement as well? But I am not adcoms so take that with a grain of salt. Rooting for yall so hard rn 🤞 🤞

Thats good to hear. Also from last years thread, we're still a little bit faster than last years movement, and that went to about the late 50's

update email has arrived!
I am not really sure what to make of the update. Waitlist movement is minimal in June and July as stated in the email, but there were around 40+ offers WL offers made in previous years (except 2022). So far there have been only 29 WL offers made this year. So I don't know if this means we can still expect around 10-ish more offers, or if the WL offer number will just be really low this year 🙁
What do you guys think?

I'm just gonna stay optimistic until June 30th. It said a few people already CTE'd and are on PTE for another school, so there is some movement happening at least. Fingers crossed it gets to 14 more
